Being a member of the House, my review is probably partial. The International House of Japan is a pleasant alternative to busy, bigger hotels in Tokyo. The garden and the open air terrace are my favorites. Almost all rooms have a real balcony facing that garden. The casual coffee shop, the restaurant, efficient staff and adequate facilities ensure a flow... More

This international house was awesome with the Japanese traditional atmosphere. Adding some tips, this house is necessary to have an introduction from other member for accommodate but restaurant in a building is available for everyone! They are serving french tasty meals and beautiful view if you are lucky to have a seat by the window. I strongly recommend here and... More

I've been staying at I House on and off since the 1970s and have enjoyed the combination of continuity and renovation. It is extremely convenient, not too badly priced (though no longer a great bargain) and the staff are very helpful. The garden is one of the great secrets of Tokyo. Most enjoyable for me are the breakfasts--not for the... More

International House is an oasis in the heart of Tokyo. Located in a quiet neighborhood, its closest Metro station is Azabu-juban. The hotel has what I think of as classic modern Japanese style, spare but comfortable. The large windows in the entry are, the two restaurants and some of the rooms overlook an exquisite garden. I have eaten at the... More

International House is a wonderful place to relax and calm down in the centre of hectic Roppongi/Azabu. You have to be a member to stay there, or be introduced by a member. The rooms have been upgraded and are extremely comfortable, the Sakra restaurant is excellent, but it is the wonderful garden that steals the show.

Simply an outstanding place to stay. Room was a good size with an outlook over their gardens. A good wardrobe, big bathroom and a separate desk for business with free wifi. Breakfast is outstanding in terms of range and perfect for hosting breakfast business meetings.

Akasaka / Roppongi

More recently, with the opening of Roppongi Hills, Tokyo Midtown and Akasaka Sacas, the area has declared itself as the most fashionable spot to be seen. The area also hosts the National Art Center and the Mori Art Museum and lots of trendy art galleries.
