We were there for watching a night lighting. It was far smaller than expected, but that is only the downside. The night lighting show was scheduled every one hour. And it was so stunning...! Just go and see how amazing it is!

Tokyo tourist info center gave us a list of the top ten roof top observatories in Tokyo. Among them the Dentsu Tower in Shiodome. Unfortunately just one window, facing the south , is accessible for free, overlooking Odaiba, the Rianbow bridge, Tsukiji Market and the Asahi Shinbun headquarters. Only positive point: no wait at the elevators, the latter are very... More

With floors and floors of good food, there is even Din Tai Fung among the choices! Take a lunch break and enjoy a quick, or elongated meal at Caretta Shiodome mall.

Lots of shops and restaurants inside the building. Go on to the top floor for sky-view restaurants. Only 5-10 minutes walk from Royal Park Hotel Shiodome or Park Hotel Tokyo.

Great location for a romantic lunch/dinner or business meeting. Excellent views from top floors over Fish Markets and Tokyo Tower. Highly recommended. And the best thing - it's free to ride elevators to the top floor, see the view and come back!!! Stunning views for free or stay and eat and enjoy!

This is located as part of a are business district close to the fish market ad river. It's one of a number of tower blocks which are well designed and offer great views, of which Caretta is one. Good quality restaurants.

Caretta Shiodome is a showcase itself, you can have a good view of the whole place surrounding it on the 46/47th floor, and have lunch or dinner as well.

The best winter illumination show I had ever seen, the light show changes with the music which last around 10 mins. After the light show, you can take photos around the light deco. After that, go in the building and take the lift up to the 46th floor. Up on the viewing deck, you get the perfect night view scene... More

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighbourhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
