Went to Roppongi Hills at night, during the spring period and it was memorable. At 9PM it was packed with couples and wanderers alike. However, not many foreigners or tourists were in sight so be sure to check Roppongi Hills at night time!

Cool place to visit at night. Entire complex was very well-lit. We had dinner here and went up to Mori Tower for night view of Tokyo Bay on New Year's Eve. The sky was clear and it was spectacular.

Talk about fancy. So much money up in them hills. Wouldn't want to be there in a earthquake or a hurricane but it a sight.

Gt a good sense of the city. Enjoyed the planetarium although we experienced a small earthquake when we were on the 52nd floor. I think it was okay and view is great but since I had already visited Tokyo sky tree it was not so original.

Saw the incredible Christmas light show. Line went very fast. Free activity. Easy to get to via subway. Lots of stores to visit in the area also. Great area.

It was so cold that Christmas Day we visited Roppongi Hills! We got to taste the hot wine and sausages selling in their Christmas bazaar. The aura is so festive and people really lining up to buy the hot foods because it's so cold that day.

This is an up-market shopping tower in Roppongi with all the gliz and glamour you might need. There are a number of good restaurants and good way to see the better part of Roppongi which has its glitzy side and not so nice side as well.

Rappongi Hills is an expensive area to reside in like Aoyama. There are fine shops, restaurants, art museum and luxurious areas to live in. Depends what you want to do there. Worth seeing if you want to explore all the different areas of Tokyo. Don't confuse it with more sleazy part of Rappongi where there are sleazy bars and rip... More

Staying in Akasaka / Roppongi

Neighbourhood Profile
Akasaka / Roppongi
Not so long ago the Akasaka and Roppongi areas were famous for their nightlife, high-class restaurants, bars and clubs. More recently, with the opening of Roppongi Hills, Tokyo Midtown and Akasaka Sacas, the area has declared itself as the most fashionable spot to be seen. The area also hosts the National Art Center and the Mori Art Museum and lots of trendy art galleries.
