Good modern shopping area which is a short trip from central Tokyo. Offers similar experience to most big modern shopping districts. Full of the usual brands

At a very ideal temperature of 16 centigrade, Odaiba Seaside Park is a haven for tourists. Here you can walk, jog, run, exercise and have fun. Do it early morning or before dusk. It's fun and it's in Odaiba, Tokyo, Japan!

This manmade beach in Odaiba offers attractive views of Tokyo Bay with dazzling views of Mt Fuji, the Rainbow Bridge and Statue of Liberty. A shopping and entertainment center known for its futuristic architecture and theme parks, Odaiba is unforgettable experience.

Tokyo Bay is not the most interesting stretch of water and that goes for the seaside.Odaiba provides access to the bay and has various areas that are on the water including the man-made beach.

This was such a surprise. I was there end of day, watched the sunset. The train there has no driver and is fascinating as it goes across the bay bridge. The beach is a nice place to relax and still see the city. There are some interesting large buildings near by, and the Statue of Liberty is fun to see.

Wow, what a pleasant surprise! Did not know this area existed! You cannot swim here, but there is a beach. Boats are available nearby to take you up the river to another part of the city, a really nice option.

Staying in Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi

Neighbourhood Profile
Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.
