outskirts of Tokyo

I have a friend living near the Park, and her garden leads to the Senjoku Pond. It is quiet here and you can experience a little bit of nature here/

When I lived in Senzokuike, I lived about a 5 minute bicycle ride away from this beautiful park. My friends used to come here everyday to get away from the craziness of the city and get some exercise while we were at it. This is a fabulous place to relax, feed the ducks and turtles, and even make some new... More

I went here in spring. Sakura everywhere. Very beautiful. The park also has food bazaar. Beautiful pond too. You can rent a duck boat. This park is very nice for family and friends gathering.

Ponds are rare in Tokyo, and this one is quite beautiful. One side is close to the station and a busy road, but the rest of the pond is surrounded by a park. It may not be a destination by itself, but it makes for a wonderful morning or afternoon activity for people who are already familiar with Tokyo.

I think every time I go to this park it is Hanami (Cherry Blossom) season, as all the portable food shops are set up, and I eat way too much yakitori and yakisoba. Anyway, I've always preferred the "small town" sort of feel of Sensokuike to the larger Ueno park, any time of the year... Sensokuike is a great place... More

I would highly recommend travelers to visit this park. Its a beautiful pond right across the Senzoku-ike station on Tokyu Ikegami line. The beauty of this park is that you can visit here in any season. It always has something to offer in every season.Senzokuike is one of the most scenic places you will come across Tokyo. Lushed with greenery... More
