Nothing specially fancy about the observation deck but a good place to plane watch. Across the runways you can see the domestic terminal too. There are picnic tables if you wish to eat outside along with vending machines for drinks. Along the fence at the edge of the large deck there are touch screens that give information, in a variety... After dinner in May 2016 at Haneda, I went for a walk around the airport. There are some restaurants that overlook the observation deck, being outside. You can dine and watch the plane traffic. I just went outside and watched it from the observation deck instead.

The wifi network connection in Haneda is very poor and you would be frustrated. I advised you buy or rent a pocket wifi network but you must do that with a credit card.

Narita airport specifically Terminal 1 North is a pleasure. I've now used the airport on several occasions and have found it easy and fun. Directional signage very easy to understand and everyone speaks English. All the food options are there sit down or fast food. Lots of shopping options as well. They do have Pre Check which makes security a... More

Compared to Narita, Haneda appears old and tired, and it shows in the overall service as well. Lose out to Narita by far.

At first i think the shower room placement will be like a public toilet. But dang! it's totally like a room! there is a key to each shower room. it's like your small private hotel room without the bed. Only shower room. You can bring small luggage inside, take shower, change your clothes, dry your hair inside. No need to... More

We spent an hour trying to connect with no luck. So frustrating! There is a signal but some problem with the gateway page. The woman at the airport information counter insisted the wifi was working- even as another traveler came up to complain that it wasn't...

I made international connecting flights at this terminal, the signs are clear and easy to follow through, no long walk , no hassle, effectively managed security check, clear announcements for the passengers and not too many duty free shops for shopping before boarding.

All airports in the world should be like this. Design with intelligence and user feeling to it. And the crown jewel is the observation deck. If you have some time to spare go up to the 5th floor and see some planes taking off and landing.

Great signage, easy to find where you need to go. We were able to easily take the bus from the airport into town. There is a big information counter when you first enter after customs. They are very helpful.
