My daughter made reservations ahead because it is popular and you only get an hour. The place is clean and they have a variety of hedgehogs in medium plastic see through cages (as well as a few in too small cages underneath). There are also mice. You are given special gloves and instructions on how to feed and handle the hedgehogs. My family was very careful to follow the instructions and be gentle with the animals. My kids got to feed them pellets and worms which the hedgehogs seemed to enjoy. They are adorable. However I would not recommend bringing small or wild kids here. While we were there an Australian family with several boys permitted them to completely disregard every rule and run around with the poor animals. One boy dropped a hedgehog on its head! I was horrified. These are nocturnal animals and I’m sure being the center of attention during the day is stressful enough without being harassed by people who can’t follow simple instructions.

We had so much fun at this cafe! The staff were fantastic, went out of their way to show us around and check in with us occasionally to make sure we got to experience everything. We were allowed to move around the room and see the personalities of the different animals, offering them treats and holding them. The staff clearly care very much for the animals. Although hedgehogs are nocturnal and mostly wanted to sleep, they are given "shifts" to be on display so some of the day they are off display and allowed to sleep undisturbed. When offered special snacks they all gobbled them up enthusiastically and they looked quite healthy. We had a great time and were very glad we went!

Adorable hedgehogs that you can interact with and feed, very nice and helpful staff. The animals seemed well cared for and loved. Definitely worth a stop. As the room can accommodate only a limited number of visitors, reserve your visiting time at their website (this is not hard, same-day and next-day reservations were easily available).
