Neighbourhood: Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast, Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool. At the Museum of Yebisu Beer you can learn about the beer that was responsible for the town’s name, and enjoy dining at the popular noodle shops in the surrounding area.

First of all this was hands down the best ramen we had in all of Japan. The stock was super flavorful with just the right amount of spiciness (you can get non spicy if you like). The stock is made with pork bones- it's not some simple bullion creation. You get to customize your bowl of ramen and fire your pork with a blow torch. The staff was super friendly, funny, and helpful. Great place to go if you are looking for fun or simply an amazing bowl of ramen.

I highly recommend this place for ramen lovers of all ages. These guys are street performers turned chefs and they really know how to put on a show. First off, they are very English friendly (their website even has english reservation instructions) and they're super enthusiastic about entertaining. You may have heard the expression "dinner and a show" but they go as far as to make you part of the experience. All of that, and the food is amazing. They show you how to blowtorch the pork slices right on your own bowl of ramen, and the pork practically melts in your mouth - a wonderful flavor and texture. On top of this, they took plenty of pictures for us and even had some great suggestions for even more things to do in the city. When I go back to Tokyo, I'm definitely visiting this place again for both the ramen and the atmosphere.

We loved this ramen restaurant ROKU. The pork slice was so soft, their RAMEN were all
sooo GOOD!
Me and my son( 5 years old) enjoyed YUGIRI experience like ramen cooker.
Also we enjoyed roasting this pork slice by ourselves.
The most amazing thing was that we could put pork slice, egg, spice,,,,
as much as we want and could make our own ramen! We enjoyed both making noodle experience and naming our own ramen! Try this ramen restaurant ROKU, and you will see why ROKU is so popular in japan!

I get that this is advertised as a ramen experience, and it was cool to put on a apron, get in a kitchen and make your own ramen. But to be honest, I was expecting more. The whole experience lasted about 12 minutes. Basically he showed how to pour things into a bowl, how to put noodles into the water, and how to put toppings onto a bowl. There was no explanation on how the soup was made, what techniques were used, what the noodle type was, nothing. The only words spoken were, okay you put here wow so good, ok you add this, good job! Kinda disappointing to be honest.
