My husband is a train enthusiast, a hobby he got in Japan during our previous visits. We visited the hobby center mainly for the shop, which has an extensive range of trains and everything related to building a tiny world for the trains. The staff was incredibly helpful, a common thing in Japan. Although they were not fluent in English,... More

If you're into Kato or thinking about it, then you've just got to come here. Unlike the hobby shops in Akihabara, this Kato showroom displays and sells all Kato stock plus other related items. Located amongst narrow houses and narrow streets, Left me wondering how the Kato store came to be here.

Racing against the clock to get from the airport to here before closing time was well worth the effort. The range of models on display and up for sale was huge and at a reasonable cost. The dioramas were great to watch as multiple trains rules last. The staff were eager to help out and please, despite limited English skills.

Awesome diorama at the front, and a huge selection of trains, more than others in Akihabara. Must visit for sure.

I went there to get the Kato Unitram set, since it was sold out everywhere and I wanted to see the shop anyways. They have pretty much anything a Kato enthusiast or any other model train fanatic needs. Lots of trains(Obvious) and accessories. They also have two big layouts on the bottom floor and another three on the second floor... More
