Exploring Tokyo by bike is both easy and satisfying, the tour is not rushed and you can take a lot of nice pictures. Takeshi-san explained the history of the places we visit and answered our questions. Prepare to put a few flags in your map after this to visit later. The sakura mochi was very delicious!

Touring Tokyo’s lesser-visited spots in a small group on bicycle is a must do for adventurous visitors to Japan’s greatest city. Takeshi’s home grown knowledge of the neighbourhoods and easy going personality makes this less like a tour and more like a leisurely day with an old mate sharing a place he loves with visiting friends. Great variety in the places we cycled and every stop was a good blend of history meets modern culture. Even our 16 year old loved the trip and enjoyed the local funky bikes. Couldn’t recommend this tour more highly and great value for money to boot. Thank you Takeshi, we’ll see you again on our next visit.

A unique experience, I would recommend this to anyone who would like a change of pace from walking tours. Being on a bike means you get see alot more of downtown Tokyo then you would by foot and alot more places. Not mention you don't have to deal with crowds as much. On a nice day it can be really refreshing and rewarding way to spend a day in Tokyo. Plus you get to eat a sakura mochi from one Tokyo's oldest mochi shops. The temples on this bike tour are also wonderfully unique and unforgettable. The tour guide is also really nice and knowledgeable. I recommend this to anyone looking for a more immersive experience and a bit of adventure!

This was a great way to see some unique places around Tokyo that most tourists don't see. It was relaxing to bike around the backstreets of Tokyo and take in a more authentic experience than the crowded tourist spots like Senso-ji or Ueno park. This was not my first trip to Tokyo and I much preferred seeing Tokyo this way. Plus, our guide was very knowledgeable and could provide interesting insights into each location. We saw a little known, but historical temple and shrine, being able to participate in giving an offering at one. We sampled a traditional Japanese sweet and green tea at a quaint shop along the way. We browsed some great shops along Kappabashi where we found some good souvenirs and gifts for friends. We tried some oden and some yakitori at local street vendors. Delicious and so cheap. We stopped in a sake shop and capped off our tour with some drinks. We also took a cute, old-fashioned tram to do some extra shopping in a little known area of Tokyo. The variety of things we did and saw was great. It was so nice to casually bike around and enjoy the sights between destinations. You can get some great views of the Skytree and enjoy the view on a beautiful bridge spanning the Sumida river. Statues and plaques of interest were explained by our guide who knows the area and the history intimately. You can see a variety of houses, old and new, along the way and interesting shops. At first, I was nervous to bike around Tokyo as I've never biked in a large city before. But, our guide set my mind at ease and after the first few blocks I was fine. The route you take is not congested and our guide set a comfortable pace and was always attentive to make sure we were safe. His English is excellent. The bikes were small but easy to ride and comfy. I highly recommend taking the tour which lasts around 5 hours. If you're visiting Tokyo, you should really take a chance to enjoy this unique experience.
