Hiwasa Smoke Factory store is opened at July. Try fresh seafood with smokey flavor of Cherry tree.

Great produce, food and drink from all over Japan. Simply amazing. Sample some Umeshu (plum wine) or Sake and buy as a gift. Try many of the other surrounding stores for food to go. The floors above are dedicated to regional Japanese souveniers, arts and...More

I saw this on a Japanese travel show and enjoyed perusing each store. I wish they had more English signing, since I can't speak or read Japanese, but I could get the gist of what each prefecture specializes in. Having lived in Japan for two...More

Lovely little indoor food market which has lots of lovely food shops, stalls and restaurants. Most of the shops host free tastings and the environment is very clean and modern. While the environment is akin to a Whole Foods or a high end British food...More

Cappuccino coffee was great! We needed a "Melbourne style coffee" and this certainly hit the spot in Cafe-mn on the 3rd floor of MN. Expensive but worth it :) Lovely quiet place to relax too in Scandi-Japanese surroundings.

Ueno, Asakusa
Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old
Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa.
Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit
a variety of different museums and galleries. At
Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the
grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed
alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at
the end of the year, when many people go on shopping
