Established in 1968, Manyung Gallery Group is well known for being one of Melbourne’s largest and longest running contemporary art spaces. With three galleries in Mount Eliza, Sorrento and Malvern, Manyung Gallery is directed by Sharyn and David Wemyss-Smith who pride themselves on showcasing contemporary and traditional works of art by established and emerging visual artists sourced across Australia. The gallery's selection includes original oil, acrylic and water-colour paintings as well as fine art prints, sterling silver jewellery, glass, ceramic, steel, bronze, wood and mixed media sculpture and photography. Each gallery showcases monthly exhibitions of new works, which are supported by artist talks, workshops, and other events that engage the wider community. Manyung Gallery Mount Eliza is located at the gateway to the Mornington Peninsula. Recently relocating to Mount Eliza Village, the new gallery has approximately 100 pieces of artwork, sculpture and jewellery on display, offering friendly art consultation and advise. The location information for the Manyung Gallery is no longer current as it has now moved to Mt Eliza Village (opposite the Post Office) Still the same great selection of art work. Currently they have an exhibition featuring blackbirds with some particularly nice bronzes.
