I was coming from Mértola and Minas de São Domingos were I've spent the morning and took the national road N265 in direction towards Serpa. Some kilometers after Minas de São Domingos you''ll have a sign ''Pulo do Lobo''on your right indicating to turn on...More

This is NOT Niagra falls. It is not even a real waterfall but instead a small rapids..... However, if you drive from Mertola on the road to Beja (N122) then the drive to Pulo do Lobo is wonderful. The road takes you through the National...More

The pulo do lobo is totally worth to pay a visit even though it is hardly reachable... we had a rent-a-car so we did not care that much... however, it is safer to park a mile before actual location bcs we had some problem coming...More

We visited while visiting Parque Natural do Vale do Gaudiana and I'm glad we did. We drove from the northern road from Serpa, and it does take a bit of a drive down an unmade road (but easily driveable) but worth it as it is...More

Before you even consider visiting this place you have to know that there is an access from the West, and one from the East. For the first one, coming from Mértola, you head in the direction of Beja and on the National Park follow the...More

This is definitely worth visiting, but it is a bit of a drive from Mertola--maybe 30 min north of Mertola and down narrow paved roads for several Kms, then the last 1.5 Kms are on dirt road, but easily passable in cars. Very stunning rock...More

It is just one of those sites that is worth visiting, not only for itself but also for the journey there, to really understand the landscape. And to see how over the millennia this river has carved a deep valley in this landscape, the same...More

It's a very beautiful place, if you came from Mina de São Domingos, prepare yourself for a long climb.

Lovely place to visit. Steep bumpy, very scenic road towards it, but worthwhile. Lovely few over the waterfall coming down through the rocks. Rocky surroundings.

I wasn't impressed by the waterfall. But the hike was really nice although the path wasn't always clear. Saw turtles, a water snake and lots of birds by the river.

This is a nice place to watch the swallows and raptors flying overhead. Be careful, though, the walk and stairs are crumbling in areas.
