Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very interesting introduction to the topic of Txakoli (in English). Super friendly guide, she explained the history of wine growing to us in a very understandable way. You can also buy wine by the bottle after the tasting (we did this straight away). The tour and tasting took about 90 minutes. Many thanks to the employee (unfortunately we don't have her name), we had a lot of fun!!

Fantastic exhibit and tour. Very modern presentation on the historical heritage of Txakoli. Our guide provided a tour and English and she was great. Afterwards we had a Txakoli tasting that helped us complete the experience. I would deliciously recommend.

Nice little museum on the first floor of the local touridt office. Two movies about the local wine and history. One of them a great 360 degree movie. Julene, the museum tour guide is keen to explain more about the wine and basque language. Of course at the end a Txakoli wine tasting.

Worth visiting if you are in Bakio. Fascinating facts about the wine an the local history. The pintxos and wine at the end are excellent. Very friendly and knowledgeable guide.

We had a fantastic visit to this museum. The museum itself has a lovely and very informative overview about Txaculi- the white wine of the Basque region. More importantly, though, the people working here could not have been more friendly. They helped us find wineries in the region to visit, and even called to make reservations for us at the nearby San Juan. Definitely recommend a stop here!

The Basque have a long history, with no clear-cut proof as to where their language comes from, just that it's one of the oldest languages in Europe.
The museum is relatively self-guided, with a person who turns on films when necessary and at other times, you just read what is clearly laid out. I found it interesting given the varied and long history. The end 'area' to visit shows a grandfather looking at a young baby, and the song he sings in the local language, not a single word did I understand, yet it was obviously a lullabye and just catches your heart.
At the end of the visit, you go back downstairs and get a local wine tasting, a dry, crisp wine, perfect on a warm day.
