One of many monasteries around Cappadocia, but well worth a visit since it well preserved. Easy walk up and around, good views from the top.

These are much older monasteries then the Goreme Open Museum. A wonder how these people survived in those ages.

After walking the longer 10km walk in the Ihlara Valley we arrived at this wonderful monastery - simply stunning both for its multiple chambers and amazing views.

Not only the monastery but in overall Selime is a unique place to visit. Our 5 year old loved to discover the place. It is recommended to wear suitable and comfy shoes.
