We provide outdoor adventure experiences and Duke of Edinburgh Awards at various locations across North Yorkshire and the Lake District. We offer activities to both the general public and corporate businesses. Our mission is to inspire people to enjoy and experience all the great outdoors has to offer!

We hired Alfresco Adventures to organise a London to Brighton bike ride for a corporate event with our company. The team were super helpful, organized and pitched the level of activity and effort perfectly for all that attended. Will definitely use them again!

Really fun day.
Arrived and everything was really straight forward.
We got changed, had a little walk up to the start and had great instruction coming down the water pass.
Would be loads of fun doing this activity in a group of friends.
Fully recommended to anyone thinking about it.

We booked this last min as the weather was starting to rain. The session was an hour long and we all enjoyed it. We were given our Saftey brief an everything was explained and we were shown how to hold the bows and arrows correctly. The instructor was polite and took the time to coach our 15 and 10 yrs old so there shots improved. At the end he stuck ballon’s on the targets and we all had to hit them. We would recommend this to anyone visiting or staying at the park.

We attended an Archery session on our week in Ullswater. It was a great activity for our children (7 & 9) and friends. The majority of us had little experience, but our host was in hand to guide us through and also shared some fascinating facts/stories.

Really nice, helpful and friendly staff. Good equipment. We took part in the gyhll scrambling, kayaking and paddle boarding experiences, the challenges made the them more interesting and fun. Good value for money.

Loved how the instructors (Scott and Mike) made it such a smooth experience for everyone in our group.
They had set up a customized experience (rafted canoing) for our large group of adults and kids, which worked very well for us.

We used Alfresco adventures twice on our holiday in the Yorkshire Dales. We went climbing and Abseiling at Brimham rocks and also went Caving in the south Dales. Both trips were brilliant. So well organised and great instructors. Our children 7 and 9 have made some fantastic memories from both days. They did things that scared them and tested their abilities but the instructors supported, coached and gently guided them to achieve more than they thought possible. Thoroughly recommend both experiences and would definitely book again when we are back in the area.

Kayaking with our guide Lizzie was brilliant. This company take care of everything. Booking was easy and the equipment was new and well looked after. We knew we were in safe hands. The journey down the river was beautiful. We even saw kingfishers. We will definitely book on again.

I had a fantastic days guided walk between Sedburgh and Bowness on Windermere after I contacted Al fresco Adventures to help me with a section of a longer walk I was planning. My guide for the day, Paul, was really friendly and encouraging and paced the walk perfectly, also pointing out interesting features on the route. Paul also took some great photos. Sam was also really helpful when I first contacted Al Fresco Adventures. Thanks very much Sam and Paul for helping to make my adventure such a great experience.

We are happy for you to take a dog (s) in the canoes. We don’t provide buoyancy aids for them though, so you’d be taking them on at your own risk.
