After visiting Adisham when to pass Haputale you can see this Church. In-fact this is a cemetery with a chapel. Nice view from the top of the church. can spend about 15 mins there.

Who can't resist wondering around a graveyard reading the names, birth dates and, sadly in some cases, the death dates of those buried beneath? Of particular interest to me was the discovery of the name 'Ondaatje'; could this be an ancestor of Michael Ondaatje, author...More

Read the grave stones and look round this lovely church. It sums up how life wasn't so grand after all

Ideal stop en-route to Bandarawela, etc. A quaint little church where one is transported back in time the minute you step into the small chapel. Gets a bit nostalgic when you read the plaques on the wall and wander through the well-maintained cemetery with all...More

We got there early in the morning and the church was closed. The caretaker lives next door and he opened the place. The church and graveyard are worth looking at.

Worth visiting this tiny church mainly for the small graveyard. Plenty of interesting gravestones. Many telling stories of strange early deaths. Obviously planters 'families buried here.

Full of atmosphere with a lovely poem by an earlier Pastor about the times then. The gravestones tell a story

Unfortunately the church was locked up when we went, but it's a little scenic spot near the town center. Not even 5 minutes walk from the train station so go take a look.

We went to this church just as they were finishing a service on Ash Wednesday. The church was packed but the vicar said that only some 45 families in the area attended. Have a look at the gravestones and see how young everybody died and...More
