Hands down my favourite beach in CR

Uncrowded clean beach with only a few amenities, truly a perfect place to spend the day. Make sure you hit Lola's or the Beach Box for lunch.

Beautiful beach to visit in Costa Rica. It can sometimes get crowded, but it's worth the trip to visit.

Nice white sand beach. Not crowded and less developed than Tamarindo which is about half an hour away. Pretty much the only place to get something to eat is Lola's. Beach food there is good. $12 return shuttle from Tamarindo. $30 by taxi can be negotiated to $25. Bring your own beach chair/towel/umbrella. No rentals available. Only beach type furniture... More

We stopped here on our way back from eating at Lola's. We walked from the JW Marriott. I wore flip flops from the gap and easily made the scramble over the rocks. This beach is absolutely gorgeous and fairly desolate. Well worth the effort to get to. No vendors or facilities so bring what you need or go to Lola's... More

One of the tamarindo near's beachs that you should visit. The sunset is amazing! There are just one bar, but is great.

This is a great beach near the Hacienda Pinella and JW Marriott Properties. Large expanse of sand with surfing/boarding opportunities. Lola's is a great beach spot which is nearby as well.

We went here with our kids (11 and 13) to have a mellow day of surfing and it was great. Water was warm, waves were small but fun, and the beach was incredibly beautiful. This place is magical and we absolutely want to come back. The road is long, dusty, and bumpy to get there...but so worth it. Just watch... More

Great for surfing, body surfing, just hanging out in the waves. Also easy to walk here from JW Marriott or Beach Club. Lola's restaurant on the beach is fantastic

We loved that beach! It can get crowded though! Since the beach is long, that should not bother you! You can find shade there! Our kids loved to play on the rocks. Lola's is right on the beach for drinks and lunch/dinner. Neither ice cream nor coffee!

It is a nice quiet beach 30 min from Tamarindo. The ride to it on a dirt road is a pretty bumpy Costa Rican roller coaster adventure. But the beach itself is pretty relaxing with nice sand, and great waves for surfing. Although we were told by the parking attendant not to leave our stuff unattended and always keep an... More
