Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

There is a very easy 2.5km each way trek (easy if you don’t have 20kg of toddler and picnic gear strapped to your back) starting at the Deu Sol apartments that runs above and parallel to the small river that meanders along the valley. Parallel and a little further beyond the river is a road that you can walk walk along to make things easier. But why would you, as you’d miss the beautiful meadow flowers, lichen and moss. But don’t stop at the end of the trail. Another 20 or so minutes and you’ve left any sign of human habitation behind as you walk deeper into the valley. A lovely picnic area awaits closed in by mountain ridges. And a crisp and cold river to dip your toes into. Magical.

We only did the walk from the parking space to the end of the road. It's a very beautiful walk as it follows the right side of the river. I highly recommend it, if you don't have much time or if you are not in a good condition. It's just a few steep parts, but no climbing. This hike is really easy. You are rewarded with a beautiful scenery. If you are lazy, you can take the little train back to the start for 3 bugs ;)

We hike at this valley quite often since there are many trails at this valley, easy to long and arduous you choose. My favorite is the trail up to lake Juclar, the biggest lake in Andorra and from there it can lead you to other trails. The possibility is endless so it’s all up to your level of hiking 🥾, most importantly it’s absolutely beautiful at every turn, totally picturesque. This valley is crowded in the summer months and the road is closed so you have to park and walk to the valley or take the electric trolley, we tend to go when it’s quite and we can drive all the way to the big parking in the valley.

A wonderful valley full of beautiful walks from the very very easy to the challenging. Wonderful lakes including Junclar the largest in Andorra and Cabana Sorda my favourite there are also two easy to reach ones including the Salamander where I often swim. In the summer you can’t drive up the valley you have to get a bus. Rest of the year you can park . Extremely lovely place .....look after it please

It's a nice little stroll along the quiet country lane, passing lovely buildings and encountering views. Parking is plentiful and only a euro or two for 3 or 4 hours.

It's a great walk into the nature with fantastic views as you can see on the pictures I added. The path starts at a parking place in Soldeu and leads you to this amazing valley. It ends at a cafe with activities for children and a waterfall after a 3 kilometres walk. You can walk on a paved street or on a path through nature. I walked the path on one way and the paved street when I returned. Or you can take a small panoramic bus that costs only 3 euros (adults) and 2 euros (children).

Upon entering the area there is an information office with a free map. Discovered there were 6 or 7 different hikes (or walks) and varied based on difficulty.
We chose the easy path then the moderate path up to the lake -- by the map this was #3 then #6.
3 was a slight paved incline along the countryside and we saw plenty of folks even with baby strollers. Beautiful countryside along the way.
The total distance to the intersection of others was 2.5kms and about 45 minutes tops.

We connected to #6 up to the lake which started easy then actually did become moderate just like the map said!. The distance to the lake was 4.6KMs and took about 1.45 hours. The terrain was well marked.

At the top of the hike @ the lake is a mountain hut complete with food and bathrooms and a picnic area.

What a stunning little place in the snow!
Decided to take a stomp into the wilderness, and that's exactly what it is, just a few houses and cabins, then within minutes it's just you and nature.
Like stepping back in time into a medieval forest on the mountainside.
Breathtaking place if you're lucky enough to catch the snow ...

At the base of the most beautiful valley i've ever seen where a lovely river winds down through pastures where cowbell wearing cattle graze. Beyond were peaks with the remnants of last winter's snowfall. A hiking trail leads up the valley for easy access.
The room was not plush but very adequate. Staff was congenial and very helpful.

We (family of 4, with two children, 10 and 8) stayed for 3 days in the valley on the campground there (Font de Ferrosin), and really enjoyed to explore the area by foot and with the mountain bikes. The restaurant by the parking lot the end of the street in the valley (Ovella Negra) is a great starting point for hikes; we did the round up to Port de Fontargenta and the border to France, which is about 3-4h back and forth. Great and very peaceful mountain scenery
