It's one of the most interesting religious complex I've ever seen. There are two churches there. The old one was built in XII century according a regional legend. The second one is modern. It was designed by a popular Spanish architect Ricardo Bofill as a...More

This stone church sits high above the highway below and is a church to the patron saint of the Andorran valleys. It is the most sacred spot in Andorra, and the saint is honored here on September 8th, the saint's day and a local holiday.

I have been fortunate enough to see a lot of churches over the years and it takes quite a lot to impress me. There was something very special about this place. The design is very clever - inviting the light and the surrounding countryside in,...More

It's the main and most famous sanctuary in Andorra, but there are many little hermitages much more interesting than this one. It's been reconstructed with wood, so you can't really figure out how it was. You can park for free and there's a restaurant very...More

We were there in the early evening so it was quiet. The sun was starting to set. Beautiful location. Lovely old building. Sweet retreat. Just to sit and refresh your life…. Visited in 2009

We took this trail without much expectation about the church but wanted for an easy walk after two days of 4-5 hours walk on trails. It was an easy walk which is also suitable for families and the church with modern architecture was a nice...More

Worth going for the views alone. Nice that it's free and an interesting bit of architecture too. We had a car hired so easy to get to and find. No information in English though.
