The Duxford airfield is excellent with many planes that can be boarded (including Concord) Extremely interesting for those with an interest in anything to do with aeroplanes. Tickets admission hall is straight into the Gift Shop which, of course, most young people want to look around. Lots of very over-priced items (some not even relating to aircraft and flying) The... We visited with a group of members of varying degrees of enthusiasm, however every member of the party had a positive experience. Entry to the IWM Duxford was not cheap, and this was exacerbated by the fact that we held a 2 for 1 offer from the Airfix club which was not honoured by the museum, disappointing. Thankfully the weather... More

Museum caters for all ages, interactive for young children, interesting and informative. Would have have scored a 5/5 but was disappointed by the fact not all service men and women currently serving in the MOD receive the military discount, to which I found bemusing as the museums role and purpose is to commemorate the countries military heritage and to represent... Just off the M11 within comfortable driving distance from London, Duxford is a must-see museum for aviation and history enthusiasts. With a number of aircraft distributed among the various hangar, it's easy to get up close and personal to some of the most iconic planes that flew in battle. Other exhibits including an air raid shelter, offer an insiight to... More

Despite grumpy teenager really not wanting to spend the afternoon looking at 'planes and stuff' even she agreed it was a really interesting museum to visit. The 8 hangers are really well laid out and kept us interested the whole afternoon. It was quite a long walk from the entrance to the furthest hanger but I did notice a mobility... More
