Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

West Kirby beach is a lovely place to visit. A long sandy beach and a boating lake. Very clean, we saw no litter at all. There are plenty of bins available. A nice cafe near the beach. A very friendly place

Lovely walk today .its a shame about the road works on the front but it didn't spoil our amazing day. We walked across to the island and around the marina it really was lovely its a shame some people catnt pick up there rubbish and doggie poo bags and beer bottles that were left on the beach shame on these people ...we always enjoy this area which is great for dogs and children with plenty to see and nice little cafe over looking the beach .we went to the mandarin fish and chip shop and we haven't had such lovely fish abd chips for ages they were perfect !. Real cod with a lovely thin crispy batter and plenty of chips it was more expensive than usual but we did order large portions and we don't mind paying for quality everything was perfect .and we will return .

Been back again to this beach in 2 weeks, this time we headed out on a cloudy day but arrived to hot sunshine! a highlight is the marina and the sea at high tide. Very clean beach, the more towards red rocks you go. will try and make it to hilbre islands next time, but one of the best beaches of northwest.
Cant comment on parking as parked on a side street

Nightmare. Traffic blocking everywhere, could not park near to beach. It was a bank holiday and local supermarket had severe time limit on parking. Being disabled I would not have completed anything in time.

By contrast Ashton Park, and St Bridgets Church a haven of peace and tranquility. See images

Went for an afternoon walk on the beach, and then to a cafe (not on the beach). Good view and (quite) short walk. Windy. Very windy.

This was my first visit to the area and this beach is an absolute must for everyone who loves the fresh air. It was cold and sunny with lots of activities going on to watch. Hilbre island is walkable at ;low tide but be careful of tidal times. There is a cafe, ice cream kiosk and lovely shops nearby too.

Avoid West Kirby store at all costs £70 fine for parking for one hour ten minutes whilst shopping in store. Aldi have no responsibility for Parkingeye at West Kirby they must have installed all their cameras and systems in the cover of night also if do shop there make sure you look for small tablet to enter you car registration it's at check out out of view

Nice clean beach and when the tide is out you can walk to Hilbre Island. Dog friendly too which is a bonus as long as they are well behaved. There is free parking along the marine lake. Worth a visit in the summer of winter.
