Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I visited this Centre with my local National Trust Group and we were entranced and fascinated by this gem of a place!!! Once through the small entrance is a treasure trove of memories of a bygone age stuffed into every corner, nook and cranny of the building - as well as a most interesting timeline of the history of Sheppey itself. All of it has been lovingly created over 20+ years by a couple and a team of volunteers - and we were provided with pre-ordered fish and chips or a cream tea. I had chosen the latter and it was delicious!! If you visit the Isle of Sheppey, please make a beeline for the Heritage Centre at Blue Town - you will not regret it!!!

An absolute must to visit this gem in Blue Town on the Isle Of Sheppey. A Theatre/Music Hall incorporating a cafe, two museums. and a weekly cinema. The array of shows and activities on offer will have something for everyone to enjoy, young ,old and anyone inbetween.Visited a few times recently for the Panto performed by a childrens drama group which was a treat. Then the Alice In Wonderland Tea Party, which was such a delight with the most superb afternoon tea,Grandchildren are still talking about how they loved it.Thank you to the volunteers for your wonderful interaction with the children and smashing costumes, the afternoon surpassed all expectation. If you are available to join in the monthly quiz as we did for the first time, had lots of laughs and felt totally included even though we were the newbies. It really is the most welcoming place to visit,if only to pop in for a cuppa, cake or light lunch.Thank you to all who put in such hard work and give up their time to preserve history and nostalga with good times along the way.Highly recommended.See you all again soon.

We all had a superb time at the Blue Town Heritage Centre and Criterion yesterday for the Christmas Variety Show . We were made very welcome by Jenny and her excellent team of volunteers . Jenny provided a fascinating talk over morning then we were free to explore the amazing Heritage Centre which offers something of interest to all round every corner . Following a delicious fish and chip lunch we settled down the show which was brilliant from start to finish -- superb singers , music and a hilarious impressionist / comedian The show was fast paced and all performers put their all into ensuring we had a great afternoons entertainment . A wonderful start to the Christmas festivities . A big thank you to Jenny and all at the Criterion for looking after us so well and providing a really memorable day . We all look forward to next year !! Chris and all at Good Connections

Oh goodness what a find !! The social, historical highly interesting oracle of this area. All presented in a fantastic and immaculate way. What a commitment to the area. AND a great tea room too. We learnt so much and were also signposted to over places of interest. (do not forget to aske about the scorpions, fascinating)

We went last year and it was so good, the Christmas 🎄 show that we decided to go again, last year we had marvelous food, including fish and chips, this year the food was terrible, supposed to be z 'festive' afternoon tea. It was horrible sandwiches half per person with some strange slice of rubber in one of the sandwiches,
Tiny dreadful sausage rolls, shop bought scone and pre packed jam and cream. And a few celebration chocolates and a shop bought mince pie such a shame this could be little gold mine however, the food let them down badly, I have had some not so nice afternoon teas - however this was the worst. Most people on my table did not eat it. I left there feeling very hungry 😕
And for pudding a cornetto for £1.50 extra.😳 Whoever does the food, needs to look up what an afternoon tea looks like.
The entertainment was excellent, they put their heart and soul into performing, however, I found some of the volunteers a bit bossy...it is nice though that they give their time up.

So worth a visit. This marvellous music hall puts on great shows keeping the music hall tradition alive. I attended the Cockney Sing Along - a fun afternoon reviving lots of wonderful, memorable songs.

Having been born on the island I am embarrassed to say that I had overlooked this wonderful place, tucked away in a quiet corner of Sheerness, I visited along with my husband and daughter for the first time today and was blown away, the volunteers were extremely welcoming, and readily shared their knowledge. I did not realise just how much history the Isle of Sheppey had to offer. The Heritage centre captures it well and I would highly recommend to anyone of any age who has a keen interest of the history of Sheppey to pay them a visit, a very interesting place indeed.

Can't really single out a highlight of the "Taking Care of Vegas 50th Anniversary of the Hawaiian Concert". From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, it was simply a great night out. The act was superb and the attention to detail those at The Criterion had gone to (every guest receiving a lei on entering, the table decorations, the light-sticks, the photocopies of the original playlist ...) was excellent. AND there was supper too! Smashing

I work for a Care Home and took several of our residents to the Criterion this week to see the Christmas Variety Show. It was absolutely wonderful. Amazing show, friendly and helpful staff, we have already booked several shows with the Criterion for next year. My only note would be that if you are going in a minibus or coach as we did, arrive in plenty of time as parking/loading/unloading is not easy due to the theatre not having its own carpark.

A great afternoon with André Rieu and his amazing orchestra.
The venue is so comfortable and well organised with social distancing carefully observed.
We started with a light lunch in the tearoom, friendly and efficient service. Drinks were ordered for the interval and delivered promptly.
I have been to several varied events and thoroughly enjoyed them. It is so much more pleasant to watch a film in this lovely environment.
I’ll be back soon.

Does it have things like Maps of Victorian Sheerness, and Old photographs? I'm doing family research and looking for Blue Town info around the 1800-1850 era.
