- Marty & PippaChorley, United Kingdom104 contributionsLovely park with tons of outdoor spaceCame with the kids one cold Saturday and had a fab time on the park. Lots of play equipment, a pond, tons of grass. We got some drinks and chips from the kiosk before heading home. There are more areas to the park which we will explore on our visit.Visited February 2023Travelled with familyWritten 4 March 2023
- Ally SBrigg, United Kingdom16 contributionsGreat adventure playgroundHaven’t been to this park for 30 years. It’s definitely improved. Lots of free parking, loads of space to run and ride bikes, a maze that even challenged the older ones, nice coffee shop, clean toilets, duck pond and a brilliant adventure playground. Not far from Tesco too for an emergency picnic!! Just a shame the railway wasn’t working. Ongoing path works will make this even better.Visited August 2023Travelled with familyWritten 20 August 2023
- WendyPyattPortchester, United Kingdom40 contributionsAn interesting Park to visitWorden Park is a very interesting place to spend a few hours with a variety of activities suitable for ages and dogs. We enjoyed getting lost in the maze, playing Crazy Golf and walking through the gardens and parkland. There was work going on to improve access but it didn't really distract from our visit. There's a large children's play area too so plenty to do.Visited August 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 11 September 2023
- John EBolton, United Kingdom46 contributionsLovely park, but, parking issues.Great park that you can spend several hours at. Maze, great cafe, miniature railway (check if operating). However, who thought the new parking scheme was a good idea?! Good point: parking is free. Bad point: you need a (free) ticket, but Monday to Friday, you can only park for two hours, no return for three hours. What is the thinking behind this? We had to cut short our visit. Advice: go at the weekend only!Visited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 15 September 2023

Free parking, lots of green space to picnic, football pitches, and a great playpark that our two (11 and 9) enjoyed. Only quibble was that the toilets nearest the playpark were out of use (and all loos in the park are 20p).
Just asked my 9-year-old their thoughts on the park and they replied: 'Loved it.'

This park at Leyland is one of the best parks around first thing is thie parking is free and there is an overflow carpark ensuring plenty of room
as you enter the park there is plenty of grassed area's for the the kids small, big, and very big(adults) as you walk along the main path you come to a crossroads here you will find the miniature golf...if you go straight on you will come to worden Hall and Gardens... if you turn right you will pass the duck pond and then you will arive at the playground with plenty to do for the kids....if you turn left you will come to the miniature steam railway wich has several gauges and is a large layouty with several steam and diesel locomotives, this is a totally voluntary service and all they ask for is a small donation (£1) but you can donate more if you want (this goes to the upkeep of this gem)
The park is dog friendly and all they ask is that you clean up any poo your dog does, there is also a dog shower and drinking station at the car park....on the grounds there are plenty of picnic benches....the toilets are all uni sex and have a 20p charge
all in all its well worth a visit and it's easy to make a full day out of it

Hello, We are a group arriving in a 53 seater coach on Friday, 3rd May at approx 12.00 midday. Can you please confirm that we access the Worden park car park on the eastern side from Worden Lane? Is the main entrance to car park opposite Ennerdale Close, Vicarsfield Road, or Langdale Road? Please give any further information we may need to know for parking a coach at Worden Park this Friday. Thanking you. Fred Hollier (Walking Group)

Hi. Yes, the main car park is directly opposite Vicarsfield Road. There is a big tarmac car park and grass overflow which is a bit pitted in places. No dedicated coach parking and if the car park is busy it would be challenging (but not impossible given the talents of coach drivers) to turn a coach round on it. It is used by students of Runshaw College so not always quiet on weekdays. The coach could easily drop off on Worden Lane if it’s busy and there’s a huge Tesco car park a few hundred yards away. Lovely place to visit - spend a while there if the weather is nice. Enjoy the walk. You could always call South Ribble Council to see if they would cone off space for you.
Hi, I was told parking at Worden park is limited to two hours, has anyone been recently to confirm this, I don't mind paying I just need more than two hours :)
