A lovely village with long history, cave churches and underground town to visit. Try the walking guided tour, it takes you to surprising and fascinating places. Worth to spend here a day or two.

We visited Gravina in October and were enchanted by this cosy, Italian town. No tourists but just traditional Italian life, great restaurants and interesting history and surroundings. Well worth a look, particularly in out of season September, it seemed like we were the only people there. Fabulous views of the gorge and the ancient buildings can be found from the bridge that spans the gorge.
