Hensol Castle Distillery is based in the cellars of the beautiful 17th century Hensol Castle. Take a tour of our distillery and learn about the history of the castle and gin itself with a tutored tasting for only £25 per person. Alternatively you can chose a gin making experience and create your own bespoke 70cl bottle of gin starting from only £99.

Wonderful tour. The hostess was very knowledgeable about both the history of gin and the history of the castle (very interesting). Learned a lot and some can be used in our own exerimentation with gin. Highly recommend!

Great tour, brief history of the castle and of how gin came about, before tasting. Your included 2 drinks plus the options to sample both rum and gins at the bar.

Peter and Hugo were fabulous , they patiently explained everything from the tour history to the cocktail ingredients.
They went over and above to make our experience fun. One of the best nights meeting likeminded people . Totally unexpected.

Visited with my wife and my in-laws for afternoon tea to celebrate my wife’s birthday.
Fantastic service within minutes of our arrival.
Afternoon tea was not only delicious, but also very generous portions!
We all had a wonderful afternoon. Thank you to all the staff at Hensol Castle for an amazing afternoon!

Very informative, good historical value and a real learning experience on the history of Hensol Castle, as well as a history of gin. Very good guide and host. As I was a driver, I couldn’t drink, so was given a goody bag. I would recommend for gin lovers and history lovers alike. Beautiful grounds and a lovely experience.

I arranged a tour at the distillery at tge beginning of October for a group of 20 friends. From asking to book the tour to the tour itself Rose arranged it all and couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. The actual tour was amazing and Hugo who took us round and explained the history of Hensol Castle and Gin and how they make it at Hensol was very knowledgeable as well as amusing. Would highly recommend anyone to go and try Hensol Gin.
