About
Dear Friends, I first started to deal with wine in 1999, after falling in love with the atmosphere of Budapest's vineyards and the romanticism of Etyek. What began as a hobby, with an initial production of just four barrels a year, evolved after a few years into a way of life-into a vineyard that has expanded to many hectares, producing 22,000 bottles of wine each year. The one-man entreprise has become a family estate: my wife, my brother, and my son are my partners, always with me in my passion. However, we are concerned not only with the fate of our estate, but also of Etyek, the Budapest wine region, and Hungarian wine more generally. I am very grateful for this lifelong pursuit, a labor of love that I hope to pass on to future generations. We are blessed with a wonderful team who are devoted to creating a memorable experience for visitors to our estate. They will guide you through the flavors of Etyek, introduce you to the terroir of our vineyards, and help you feel the magic and romance of the countryside. We would be honored to welcome you at Rókusfalvy Birtok! Rókusfalvy Pál

We tried the wine tasting is at the winery up on the hill. The row of wine cellar is a great place to see anyway. Wine tasting was great, wines are exceptional, staff is excellent. Everyone is so friendly, you tend to forget you are not their neighbor.

We (my wife, our 2 yr-old-son and myself) spent a night and a day at the Fogadó (15-20 mins walk from the winary). We found a nice, stylish and clean room and wonderful staff (cleaning lady came and took the disastrous clothes of my son after lunch to rinse and dry them).

Kitchen is 1st class, waiters are all kind, friendly but very professional in the same time.

I`ve been to Budapest a few times the past year, but the first time I was there, which was in September, someone at the hotel I was staying at had organized a wine tasting trip to this place. I`m so glad I signed up for it!
First of all, it in a lovely location, overlooking the village and wine ranks. We were greeted by a handsome young gentleman who were hosting the event. When we came inside, the tables had been set with some amazing-looking food. It was all locally sourced, with amazing hams from the local butcher, all kinds of creamy and flavorful cheese, vegetables in all kinds of colors and shapes. And there were a lot more food to come. We sat down and the host told us about the vinyard.
Then the wine tasting began! From champagne, to 6 different white wines to one red wine, they all tasted so good. The host told us about each wine as he served it (and he served generously), and in came more food, perfectly cooked duck breast with potatoes, it was sooo yummy!
The charm of the place and the atmosphere is itself worth a visit, especially in the summer!
We also got a tour of the wine cellar and where the wine production area, as well as the wine ranks.
Our host was at all times professional, helpful, charming, and his English was easy to understand (which isn`t often the case in Hungary). I would also like to add that he was quite hot! ;-)

I enjoyed this wine tasting event so much that, when I went back to Budapest in January this year, I immediately checked if there were any wine tasting events happening while I was there. And luckily for me, there was! And I enjoyed it just as much as I did the first time.
I would highly recommend Rokusfalvy Birtok

If you visit Budapest, Etyek village is definetely a place worth visiting. Only 40min with the local bus and you are in a very different atmosphere. Plum trees, cherry trees, small houses and vineyards - such a lovely sight.

We walked to the Rokusfalvy Pince in a small rain. We were not sure about the opening hours but we saw that the door was open and went inside. The place was not actually open but since one of the workers was there he decided to serve us some good wine. We got a really good, personal service that day, being just the only two customers in the pince - we also got to visit the wine cellar itself.

Thanks a lot for the service!

Ps. Rokusfalvy has also a restaurant nearby, called Rokusfalvy Fogado. Definetely also a place worth visiting on your trip to Etyek.

My partner and his family took me out for the day during my visit to Budapest. It was such a wonderful experience the landscape the ambiance... We had a wine tasting (6 wines in total 1 rose 4 white 1 red) simple but beautiful food, and our sommelier was lovely who was able to do the majority of the tasting on English. We had a fantastic time. As a first timer to wine country... I am hooked. Till next time Etyek.

We had such a nice lunch and vineyard experience at Rokusfalvy. The wines were delicious (especially the pinot noir), and the winery and vineyard are on a beautiful hillside. Make sure to check out the little shop nearby selling local cured hams, and we heard there's an artisanal cheese shop opening soon as well.

The restaurant at the inn is fabulous. We had duck breast, perfectly prepared and served over a summer salad; venison pate; chilled rhubarb and black currant soup, garnished with beautiful flowers and a raspberry foam. Everything was excellent.

All told, it is a thoroughly charming and beautiful place, and only a half hour from Budapest!

I had the chance to take part in an event taking place at Rókusfalvy Birtok in Etyek.
Even before arriving to the estate I was amazed at the ambiance this region creates, with all the vineyards, the calmness and the nice people.
The warm welcome and the kindness of the staff was a great first impression, that lasted during the entire evening. To be able to taste the local wines right under the vineyards was amazing.
After this great start a real culinary experience awaited us for dinner, dishes of the typical Hungarian flavors were a perfect match for the countryside environment. The evening was topped with a great show of live music. I will definitely revisit Rókusfalvy birtok when I'll have the chance!

We had a beautiful day in Rokusfalvy Birtok. It is the best place if you want to hide from big city. The atmosphere is so lovely and you can taste a lot of excellent wines. I suggest for everybody to try it. :)
