You need to stay in the area to have temporary residence, cos the place is open for the residents and visitors, so every local hotel is good. The place is old style and the hot water comes from underground natural geysers. The sauna and hot baths are almost too hot and the outside swimming pool is warm and truly wonderful too. You need at least 3 hours to enjoy this place and the bar serves great local food. 5 stars from me!!!…

If you look for the artificial, chain-hotel-type spa place, with high tech luxury and trendy appliances, well don't bother coming here! This is the real ultimate thermal experience as this venue is located on top of a natural spring, and in fact it sits on a actively volcanic and seismic area. You have access to two saunas (again no artificial bul**hit, you enter into a cave hewn in the rock) and an indoor system of hammams, thermal showers and a pool with hot water. Outside, there is another pool, with thermal and less hot water, a smaller pool (in theory for kids), plus an area for mud treatment. I've been going to this place for many years, and I will keep going. It is incredibly professionally run and well maintained, and there is a homely and relaxing atmosphere. One caveat: I would avoid weekends. The place is still enjoyable, but there are far too many kids. In theory there are strict rules in this place (about noise levels, not diving, hygiene and so on) but when it comes to kids during weekends (and of course the moronic parents who condone certain behaviour) the place gets a bit chaotic.…

Review of: Day SPA like an ancient Roman
The location of this place is splendid and the thermal waters are brilliant. Having said that, this is where the positive things end: Dear owners of Stufe di Nerone, please do justice to this wonderful jewel of a place - it really, really needs a good clean and please get rid of the mould, it is detrimental to health. You cannot really advertise your wonderful spa and the lovely waters as a place that is good for everybody's health when we know the effects of mould on respiratory health. I am a lover of spas and your place is in one of the most wonderful locations ever, with its 2000 year old history - but please, do it some justice, especially if you take 30 Euros per person!…

Many have written of the equipment being old and dated and it’s very true, and it’s distracting. The garden areas are all very overgrown and not maintained at all. The lake with the mud was so gross and the stairs were so dangerous and filled with algae that we just could not go in. The saunas smell terrible, like urine and the small pool with jets has mildew growing all over the ceiling. Knowing all of this from reading reviews, we went anyway and are glad that we did. It is definitely ancient, interesting and reminiscent of the days of Nero. We felt relaxed when we left and the staff were all very nice and helpful to us. We rode the metropolitan train to the Lucrina station and walked to Terme using GPS. Not far at all and overall it was a pleasant experience. We had been to Poseidon on Ischia in the past and there is no comparison as far as quality goes as Poseidon is far superior in every way, but for the convenience to Naples with limited time, this fit our needs. …

A few steps from the sea and Lake Lucrino, a spa oasis where you can relax. Equipped with an indoor thermal pool and a larger outdoor pool, a spring thermal lake where you can make mud applications and various other thermal springs. Characteristics the "stoves", or the small rooms dug into the rock, heated by thermal phenomena, which act as a natural sauna. Surrounded by a well-kept park and terraces on various levels where you can take advantage of deckchairs and sun beds for heliotherapy. There is an excellent and honest restaurant and bar service. It is possible to book and make various beauty treatments, doctors and massages. Brilliant service at reception from Anna Grazia and Irene!!…
