Quite small but very interesting and educational, specially for kids. Good honey as well, specially Romero! You can by several kinds of honey for a very reasonable $.

As specialist museums go this is right up there, but probably on the 'B' List for most travellers (sorry!). It's the only museum in a small mountain village and has a couple of floors devoted to the honey gathering process. The intro video is well...More

We visited the museum on a rainy day in Colemnar. It's quite small, but quite interesting. We may have only spent €2 on the entry fee but we spent over €11 on honey products that claim to cure everything!

A lot of thought has been put in to this museum that is primarily focussed on educating children about the honey bee. That said, it would be a tragedy for someone to visit Colmenar when the museum is open without stepping inside.

this museum is a must visit for visitors to our village, gives the history of the original name {Colmena} meaning beehive, and the history of the making of our beautiful honey.

Colmenar is the centre of the traditional local honey industry and the museum is quite fascinating. Very friendly people and very informative .
