This garden is a "must see" for anyone with a love of gardening. We visited towards the end of September, a time when many gardens are not looking their best but Bourton House boarders were packed with spectacular colours in tip top condition. The plant varities ranged from the unusual to the exotic and I especially liked the design of... More

Thanks so much for your kind review. Bourton House Garden is a wonderful surprise to many people at the end of the season when many gardens are past their best. We pride ourselves that it is a lesson in how to extend the flowering season until first frosts - and this is thanks to the clever planting and planning of... More

Very well kept gardens in the grounds of a very smart looking Cotswolds house. Large car park with lots of space (short walk over the road to the property), coffee shop and also some antiques for sale. Entry price of £7 was a tad steep, feel a £5 would have been more in line with the size of the gardens... More

Thank you for posting a review. Sorry you felt our admission charge was a bit steep! However, you are quite right - the garden is very labour intensive and expensive to maintain. Hopefully we compare favourably with similar attractions in the Cotswolds. We hope you liked the garden well enough to visit us again sometime. More

Visited today as spotted that it's the last day for tea, coffee, cakes etc. Started by enjoying our coffee, tea, and cakes, though we thought that charging £2.50 for rather mean slice of flapjack or cake was a bit much, to be honest. The upside was the fabulous ancient stone built vast Tithe Barn where we sat. After buying our... More

I am glad you enjoyed the garden, it is pretty spectacular at this time of year when many gardens are past their best. We do have a lot of rare and unusual plants and I appreciate your frustration at no plant labels. Bourton House Garden is primarily a private garden and part of someone's much loved home. No labels is... More

This garden is well worth a visit. We visited in September and the planting was such that there was plenty of interest, both for the plantsperson and those who simply wanted to see a lovely garden. The history of the garden is well worth reading before a visit and then one does not miss things of particular interest. The tithe... More

Thank you for your kind review. I am pleased that you enjoyed your visit and your cream tea. Bourton House Garden is full of interest and colour right up to first frosts and, although the Tea Room closes at the end of September so we cannot promise a delicious tea, we can promise that anyone visiting in October will still... This was such a wonderful surprise. A beautiful garden, so well kept. the borders a delight. As others have mentioned the cakes are to die for. There is also a very beautiful and well preserved Tithe Barn. Good parking but beware there is a very busy road between it and the entrance to the garden. For anyone who lov.es gardens... More

Thank you for your kind review. Our gardeners, Paul, Jacky and Gareth, work very hard and have very high standards - the garden just seems to get better year after year. Carolyn, who runs the Tea Room, has received many compliments for her cakes and many requests for recipes! We will all look forward to seeing you again in 2017! More

Years ago I read about this garden in English Garden magazine and have wished to visit. It did not disappoint. Even in mid September, the flowers were lush and in prolific bloom. The gardens and grounds are meticulously maintained. The lovely manor house and buildings are traditional Cotswold stone. Although this property is small, it is well worth a visit... More

The garden is 2 miles west of Moreton-in-Marsh surrounding a fine Manor House (not open to the public). There are many beautiful plants, a topiary garden and a White garden among other interesting features. Light refreshments are also available and there is ample free parking.

This is a garden bursting with late summer colour, surrounding an imposing Cotswold stone manor house, with stunning views over the neighbouring landscape. The design ideas and their execution are wonderful. Of particular note are the many unusual plants and the extensive use of topiary. The whole garden is very well maintained and is a breath of fresh air compared... More

Thank you for your kind review. I am very glad you enjoyed Bourton House Garden so much and appreciated the many rare and unusual plants in the garden. The Tithe Barn tea room is now supplying some light refreshments by popular demand but, as I am sure you will appreciate, there are not the facilities in our 16th century building... More
