The visit to the Enoteca Regionale was perfect! All the staff there were nice and helpful. One of them, who speaks English, gave me a lesson about the wines and the "Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale di Reggio Emilia".
I recommend take the tasting. It is not expensive, and I could choose the kind of wines I prefer to taste (and, in my case, intend to buy). I chose a white one, a red one and a dessert wine. All of them were local/regional wines, and each of them had some quality that is hard to find in the wines most available in my country: the white wine was an aged white wine, the red one was a sangiovese, and the last one was a passito. During the tasting, we talked a lot about wines of Italy, wines of other parts of the world, food and Italy regions. They use a map to show the places from where the wine being tasted comes, and if we want, they mark there the names of the wines we tasted.

While visiting the charming painted village Dozza, we had a wonderful tour at the Regional Enacoteca which is in the cellar of the fortress. It includes explanations, tastings and recommendations for buying regional wines at a fair price.

We visited with the intention of tasting some local Italian wines and then buying and bringing our favourites back home (to France). Unfortunately, although they have an immense selection of wine, it was not possible (on this occasion) to taste any of it (as the usual staff were away on training).
However, the "stand-in" staff member was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful and we finally made a few single-bottle purchases........ we were reluctant to buy more of any particular wine without tasting it.
Now that we're home we're tasting our purchases and can only say that the recommendations were excellent.
If only we could have tasted the wine during our visit we would have bought much more and would have rated this place "Excellent" instead of "Very Good". Still, it probably saved us a fortune!!
Definitely worth a visit

Enoteca Regionale is located in the basement of an old fort in the beautiful village of Dozza. My wife and I visited Enoteca Regionale as part of an excursion our cruise ship offered. This was our first excursion of the trip and we could not stop talking about it for the rest of our trip!
After touring the fort we proceeded to the basement for a wine tasting. We have been to some wine tastings in the US, as well as a couple of others on our trip, but this experience was remarkable. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and descriptive about the wines we tasted. There was a great platter of amazing meats, cheese, and crackers at each of the tables. The explanations of the wine with the pairing of meats and cheese was very educational and very delicious.
After the tasting we had the chance to look around at the thousands of bottles of wine, and the amazing olive oil and balsamic vinegar. There was wine for all palates and all wallets. We found great wine starting at about 6-7 Euro (about $8-9) per bottle. The young lady and gentleman working there were extremely polite and helpful; she studied in the US, so her English was superb.
We strongly suggest anyone visiting the Emilia Romagna Region of Italy to visit Dozza and Enoteca Regionale. You won't be disappointed!

Swat Valley is a frequently visited place, due to its being often called the "Switzerland of Pakistan," and the tourist industry truly is in full swing in this part of the world this time of the year. Our trip to this charming area not long ago was great, and it was really a dream trip. The green pastures, crystal clear rivers, and beautiful mountain views made our trip awesome.
We kicked things off by exploring the Mingora area, and we spent some time at the usual Fizagat Park and local food stalls while trying the local delicacies. As a result, we headed to Bahrain and Kalam, Kalam being particularly beautiful with its panoramic views of the Ushu River and the highest pine trees. The greatest part of our trip was one day of visiting Mahodand Lake, a speckless high lake, nearly concealed in snow-capped peaks, a place where we went by boat all day long and also spen.
We went through a day at Malam Jabba, getting a charge out of exciting rides on its climbing trails and zip-lining however there was no snow. We visited the Bhut Kara Stupa and the Smack Display, where we found the rich culture of the area and how various interpretations could be made.
The wonderful aspect of Swat Valley and the warm reception we received from its people made our stay special, and thus our journey was able to fill our memories with great nostalgic stories that still make us think about the place and wish we were back there.

This place is located underneath a castle. A castle! Dozza is worth a visit just to see all the beautiful murals, the extensive wine shop makes the trip that much better. The shop specializing in only wines from the Emilia Romagnia region and has 12 by the glass selections available.

We visited the enoteca in Dozza in September 2013. Danielle was especially
helpful in describing the range and styles of wines available in this very picturesque
location. It is very difficult not to buy too much because the wines are so tempting and
such good value.

Dozza is a little but really well preserved medioeval village. The enoteca regionale is really a good place where you can see, buy and taste the wine. You can buy and teste the wine at the same time there. this gives an oppurtunuty to taste god italian wine with an economical advantage. Near the rocca there are also many restaurants. really nice in the evening.

Do they ship wines around the world? Don't have room in my luggage for wine, but would love to ship a few bottles home.
