Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I have visited Manali many times and all time I used to go Van vihar when ever we went for Mall road, But this time when we reach Van Vihar they are started charging INR 50/ per head. Earlier it cost only INR 5/ per head. So its really a waste of money and such no beautiful stuff at vihar.

Serene , green , an island of tall trees and greenery bang in the middle of a town market,
is a delightfully peaceful experience. The place
is well landscaped with suitable piped music - yes
a forest with piped music - playing softly soothing and rejuvenating . Want more ? Go deep and you might encounter a few (harmless) animals and even boating ! Quite a peaceful & energising spot.

Wonderful to walk amongst the Deodhar trees here. Very convenient to take a break here, as it is right across from the Tibetan Monastery

Tourists better keep away from Van Vihar. Entry fees are also high compared to whatever you enjoy. Simply speaking there is nothing else other than some pine trees. There is a small restaurant also which charges very high. Earlier tourists can walk through the pine forest deep down to the banks of river Beas, enjoy some bon-fire, some barbecue, but now there is nothing; a road has been constructed between Van Vihar & Beas and there is no chance to go to the river banks. Now this place is simply for locals who can sit enjoying the whole day in cool shade weaving woolen garments or with small grandchildren playing in 2-3 swings and seesaws. Outside tourists may drop it from tourist attraction list, just waste of money.

Had visited this nature park in Manali a long back ago. This park is a popular tourist attraction and is visited by tourists.

This park is laid out with towering Deodar trees. It is taken by the local municipal corporation. This park has a small playground for children to play. It also has a small lake that is ideal for boating. This park serves a good picnic spot. However, there was no entry fee. But now, there is an entrance fee to enter the park. It is also ideal for birdwatching as well as photography. Had enjoyed paddle boating in the small lake and played in the small playground as a school going child. It was so serene and peaceful.

This park is an ideal place for families, couples, friends as well as nature lovers. It is a must visit and should not be missed when in Manali.
