This is a really picturesque castle situated on the hill above the town. Access is good, and the have a lift to enable wheelchair access. Good views from the top. Food in the restaurant was OK, but rather expensive for what was offered. Still, well worth a visit if you're in the area.

Very nice castle with an excellent view over the city. Well kept environment and the icing on the cake: it's freely accessible. We didn't visit the museum however, which probably isn't free. But if you're in the city, definitely recommended!

Museum covers the history, geology, and growth of civilization and industry in the area. Streets and Parking are confusing, detailed map or GPS would help.

This is a must-see village in the Harz Mountains, with very well maintained half-timbered houses. looking down over the village is the castle, which is still being restored. There are plenty of cafes and bars in the village, but none in the castle when I was there. parking in Stolberg can be difficult - the car parks are pay-to-park.
