One of the most beautiful churches I have ever seen, and I have been in many. The color of the marble is so subtle and gentle. The church itself gives you a very etherial feeling. Really enjoyed seeing it.

We didn't really know much about this place before we found ourselves in Bad Staffelstein but would certainly recommend it. Impressive outside and in and a delight for lovers of baroque architecture and decoration. If you're coming by car don't be conned into paying for...More

On a recent visit, we saw many churches in Germany that were very impressive. This one was near the top of the list. What made me write a review was that we were brought here to see a musical concert. Apparently, every Friday afternoon there...More

This church towers over the Main valley - just like the Banz Abbey does on the other side of that valley. But in contrast to Banz this is still a monastery of the Franciscan Order and I think there is a female order as well...More

The Late Baroque Baltasar von Neumann's pelerinage church has one of the most outstanding interior that I have seen in my lifetime. Marvelous the structur with the 14 saints in the middle and the high altar. An absolute must in Bavaria.

We walked form Lichtenfels up the tree lines alley towards Vierzehnheiligen. During a beautiful sunny autumn day it was just stunning. We were surprised about the church not being overcrowded with tourists - probably due to the time of the year. The artwork and delicate...More

This place takes some getting to especially by public transport but is worth the effort as you see rural Germany and the view from outside the basilica is beautiful but nothing compared to what awaits you inside. The place is baroque run riot in all...More
