Loved taking the tour. The guide was knowledgeable and able to answer all our questions. Lovely place with many famous paintings going back to 1487 from many counties. Contained a trove of sculptures completed in the second century BC by both Greek and Roman. So...More

My wife and I were staying at Tisbury, but woke to heavy rain. We needed an indoor excursion, and Wilton House was only 20 mins away. It was fantastic, made even more so by the welcome, and friendly nature of its team of volunteer guides....More

Each room in the Wilton House has a guide that explains the important history facts in a very interesting way. The gardens are beautiful and there is a cafe for refreshments.

We visited the Wilton House and Gardens with his large collection of very old and priceless art, paintings, sculptures, antique roman things, too much to see inside the House. As I am for myself a lifelong petrolhead I enjoyed the private car collection of the...More

Beautiful house and gardens. Spent longer here than I thought. Very relaxing in the gardens. Also a play area for children in the garden. Café was really nice and clean and service was with a smile. Enjoyed the car exhibition too.

Lovely and interesting. Very quiet when we were there. They have a fun playground for the kids. The playground was interesting enough to entertain our generally unimpressed teenagers. Recommend for a few hours if you are in the area.

£13.00 for all Concessions, and that includes Seniors. I think it is expensive but worth it. That includes the house and Gardens. It is not necessary to buy a guidebook, as the staff there are VERY knowledgable

Sorry, this answer may be too late, but I do NOT think you can see much from the road at all. Shame, but there is a very high wall all round the estate.
