Wilton House is a gorgeous place and an enjoyable day out. If you are on a budget, take your own food and drink - this is not cheap but worth it!

I would suggest a good 3 hours to see the house, gardens and museum. They also have a good restaurant.

yes it is only open end of march to start of september - it is vey nice in the spring when the bulbs are in blume
