Santa Catalina is a very laid-back village that caters to surfers, divers and snorkelers. The main road has a hostel and a few B&Bs and hotels. The better beach is Playa Estero. The beach at the end of the road in town does not look...More

If you're headed to Santa Catalina for the surf, be very aware that La Punta gets super crowded. On a good swell, it's not uncommon for 20+ surfers to be sitting on the peak. We stayed at Hotel Santa Catalina, which I would recommend. It...More
