went there in March.
the only reason to go there is shiva cafe or in case, you want to enjoy some solace in the place, like if you go down a few stones, there is a stream flowing and people just sit on big stones and can have peace there.
there wasn't much water flowing in the waterfall.
Shiva cafe is an awesome place.
we were tired when we had to climb so many stairs to reach the cafe, but post reaching, it was worth it.

We all enjoyed this spot very much. We all went almost up to the source point of the waterfall and also went down the fall and enjoyed very much. This is obviously very much attractive spot for children's as well as elders too.

The waterfall is merely a stream of water. It's crowded with people clicking selfies and photos nonetheless. The views are pretty decent while climbing. You can hike up to Shiva Cafe to chill but regular hikers/travellers can skip this place altogether. You won't be missing out on anything.

This place can be reached after a 10/15 mins drive to Bhagsu Taxi stand from McLeodganj. After reaching the Taxi stand one has to walk to the fall by crossing the Bhagsu Nag temple. The average walking time to this place is 30 to 40 mins.
Once reaching the place, you can have a good view of Dharamshala below and can even trek further for the Triund Hill. However, the falls area is almost always crowed due to some shops present there.

We saw the falls at the wrong time. It was fully dry. They said the falls will look lovely only in summer once snow melts from mountain tops. The walk to the falls is quite steep. You can have a look from the base but you have to climb many steps if you want to see the forceful waterfall

Situated at a distance from Macloadganj amidst hills and pine trees. Parking is real problem here. It takes 15-20 minutes drive. You need to walk/trek for 20 minutes to reach waterfall. If you have seen other waterfalls then nothing great unless you have time and energy to walk. Not much water during winters and neither you can take bath. You need to trek further to reach Shiva cafe to enjoy cup of tea with views. It could be avoided as we didn’t find great.

English :- Amazing waterfall. First thing to see in Mclordganj. After a bit of walking and you can see the waterfall from afar. The closer you go the more beautiful it becomes. There is a beautifully made road to get to the end of the waterfall. You can also go with children. Don't miss out if you're in Mclordganj.

C'è la strada aposto fatta bella grande per arrivare fino a fine del cascata. Puoi andare anche con bambini . Non perdere opportunità se sei a Mclordganj.

The bhagsu fall is beautiful located in McLeodganj, Himachal. One has to treck for 15-20 mins to reach the waterfall. The treck is beautiful and offers splendid view. The water is beautiful but over crowded during peak.

It's a beautiful waterfall but you have to walk a long way to reach there. If you are staying in Dharamkot you can ask locals to guide you for a thrilling shortcut hike. That will lead you to the waterfall from upward mountain area. Later, you can walk down the route towards temple and head towards Mcleodganj. In this way you won't get tired.
Do not swim in the waterfall, it's deep.

A very long walk for the view, definitely a typical waterfall which ensures you put in the effort to make the most of the enjoyment. As it is a little bit of trek which is well paved it may not be a problem. So worth visiting it.

Hi I am going mcleod Ganj on this 15th Dec for star gazing but don't know what to do in day time. Can anyone suggest me some places to explore in around 8 hours of spam. Thanks in advance

Hi, as you are planning your trip in mid December, the night temperatures may likely to dip by single digit, where chance of poor visibility of sky is first concern.
Then comes about spending day time:
As the weather itself most inspiring, one can have very quality time by visiting ancient Bhagsunath temple, Bhagsu falls with minimum two hours of Triund trek in nature.
Then have a visit to Tibetan Museum which depicts the total information of his holiness Dalailama's life history in both pictorial and a short film.
Then at Dharamshala, visit War memorial Musuem and HPCA Statidum (one of the World's most attractive cricket stadium in higher altitudes).
And, last but not least to say, visit Naddi village to have first hand experience to watch snow clapped mountain range at very close view with very very great panoramic view around.
I am sure, your day will may not be sufficient to spend and still you may feel like short of time.
Have a pleasant holiday at McLeod.

Would you recommend women taking a shower in the falls? Is there a place to change there?
Written 5 July 2018
There is no place to change over there. A woman can take a dip in the water, however there are a couple of things to be kept in mind. First of all, the water would be very cold at any time of the year, so please bear this mind. Secondly, the woman should make sure she is modestly dressed for a dip in the water, as people are bound to stare women in India. It is a second nature here. Hope this helps.

hey guys,we,a group of 7 people, are planning to trip in himachal pradesh mainly kasol, kheerganga, tosh, manali and it's sightseeings and dharmasala to triund.
What are the details facts and warning ?
Written 2 December 2017
if going for Kheer Ganga or Triund, it is must to check the weather. Also, I would recommend to complete the one side in one time and another one in next. So choose either Tosh, Kasol , Kheerganga or Triund, Mcleodganj.

Hey traveller friends ...we will be reaching dalhousie on 27 . Can someone suggest an itinerary for 28 29 30 and leav back for delhi on 1st eve.
Will this be fine:-
27 dalhousie( stay at khajiar)
dharamshala stay 28,29.
30 kangra visit(stay at palampur). On 1st visit baijnath at palampur and leave for pathankot.
Please advise.
Written 4 July 2017
You can reach Dalhousie on 27, spend sometime in Dalhousie, actually there is nothing to do over there, few attractions are Subhash ki Bowli and some Hill views. Khajjiar is around 22 km from Dalhousie. You should spend more time on the way to Khajjiar, you can spend time to see Kalatop Wildlife sanctuary which is nice and there is a temple on the way where you need to go by foot.
Khajjiar is a good place to stay for 1 day. You'll love plane views and paragliding.
2 days are required for Dharamshala, visit MacLoadGanj, its nice place for tibatian shopping and Bhagsu Nag gor a fall and temple and good views.
Baijnath - you need to check weather if you are going for paragliding.
Palampur - I am
Not very sure.
