We spent 2 1/2 days at this beach, and had a ball each time. The water is safe for swimming and life guards are always on patrol. I wish this Bay was closer to home. The toilets locally are attroshous but needs just.

Walked down the steps & across the beach, plenty of room for everyone & so safe for the little ones, there’s a pier at either side where young ones were jumping off & there are plenty of life guards patrolling the beach. Lots of people...More

Great for the little ones to play in the water as it is sheltered by the double piers and outer rocky area, lifeguards on duty and the whole area is highly visible. Loads to do locally and plenty of places for some great seafood and...More

A lovely clean beach and great caves to look at. A small beach but perfect for the family. Nice sand.

For many years I've lived in the south of England, but I used to live in Cullercoats, and it was pleasant and nostalgic to visit again. Cullercoats still retains the air of a small seaside fishing port, with its beach, two breakwaters, and the old...More

Brilliant little beach when quiet. High tide is a problem as no way by but rest of time it is great. 100 characters provided

Cullercoats beach is a beautiful, crescent shaped beach enclosed by small piers at each end. With the cliffs leading up to the village, it seems a very sheltered spot, and the golden sand makes it an ideal spot for kids (and adults!) to have a...More

This is lovely beach on the north east coast, in winter there's still plenty of eateries and coffee shops open and if the you keep your eyes open there's plenty of points of interest (blue plaques and information boards) to enliven your walk. A lovely...More

Very picturesque bay overlooked with very pleasant coffee shops and restaurants. Dogs can be an issue at least their owners can but only rarely does this detract from a very pleasant experience.

Just the place for a brisk walk, fantastic views. The walk from Cullercoats along the seafront to Tynemouth can be recommended. You generally meet very friendly people.
