We booked half day activity (morning) for two adults (24 & 19) and child age 14. They had an amazing morning, doing assault course (they all said this was so hilarious), high ropes and zip wire. The instructor Kerr was brilliant, putting everyone at ease and talking through everything. Great morning, brothers & sister spending precious family time together, as they’re all off at Uni, Work, College at home, so hardly ever all in one place now. Fab thing to book when you’re looking for something different to do and get outdoors. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

We went for a kayaking experience as a group of four and thoroughly enjoyed it. The instructor was very friendly, attentive and clearly an expert in his field. During the experience, we were taught various paddling techniques, given challenges to complete and even received a brief history lesson of the local area and the river bridge we passed.
Although you will be provided with wet suits, you should still be prepared for things to get wet and muddy! It's very likely (and not a big deal) if you fall out of your kayak once or twice (though none of group members did).

We visited Skern Lodge last weekend for my hen do. We were impressed with how much the cost of the stay included: food, accommodation, activities and use of equipment. In the lead up to the weekend, the team, particularly Debs, were very supportive in ensuring everything was planned and that we were happy with the proposed itinerary. The accommodation was clean and suited us for our weekend plans, including the use of a communal area for gathering, playing games etc. The food was great with large portions and lots of choice. The activities were great fun and well organised. Our instructor for the weekend, Rob, was fantastic and made our experience enjoyable and relaxed. We were also offered a lift into a local town for one of the evenings which was very helpful! Overall, a great weekend enjoyed by all!

Had a great time kayaking.
Our guide, Tom, was so encouraging … and knowledgeable about stuff, like wildlife in the area.
Always felt safe, whilst able to be adventurous.
Would recommend!

Excellent surfing lessons from one of the instructors, my family thoroughly enjoyed their lesson. Shame the weather didn't behave but the great wet suits kept them warm, thank you!

We had such a great time at Skern on 29th May with the team of staff including Alice, Tom and James. We had a dedicated room for our belongings and toilets and showers close by.. The lunchtime barbecue was excellent and we were blessed with perfect weather. We chose kayaking, archery, the assault course and team building events. Being a hen do, we didn't all know each other at the start of the day - if team building at work makes your heart sink (along with role play!) this was nothing like that! It really got to know each other well, we had a great time and laughed so much throughout the day. Well done and thanks too to all those behind the scenes (especially Richard and Sarah) who work so hard to make sure visitors have the best time! We highly recommend Skern as having suitable, safe and if required challenging events for all members of the family and friends.

Just spent a brilliant weekend with my friends at this awesome adventure lodge. The place was very clean and our instructor (the guy with the blondish beard) was excellent, very intuitive and very professional. Would highly recommend this place to anyone.
