Since I was close by in Houlton, Maine, I decided I shouldn't miss the opportunity to see the World's Longest Covered Bridge. I was not disappointed. It was winter, with lots of snow, and the St. John's River was frozen. After going across the bridge and back, I went a couple miles north and went over the regular bridge, just... More

A few years ago I was at Disney. I was wearing the shirt from the covered bridge 5K. The woman at Disney was thinking New England because they have lots of covered bridges. But there are not very many covered bridges to compare to Hartland's. The walking potion of the bridge allow individuals to enjoy the St. John River. May... More

OMG I just checked out the longest Covered Bridge in the world!! Alright... Settle down, settle down... It is only just a bridge!! haha All jokes aside, I have to say is a very well-preserved and well-managed bridge. I think the beautiful scenery alone makes it worth the detour! And the bridge is beautiful and unique in its own right!... More

Seriously. It's a bridge. One lane. Take a photo at the entrance, hurry through and let the locals have their road back please? The potato chip place in town gives tours. Try that.

While on Trip Advisor looking up another attraction (the Rocks Provincial Park at the Bay of Fundy), a reviewer recommended I stop in Hartland on the way as they had the world's longest covered bridge. I am glad someone told me this because it was only a 20 minute diversion off the highway and I enjoyed seeing it! Most of... More

This is the longest covered bridge in the world. The town of Hartland has it very well looked after. Nice river front park to walk

We came upon it by chance. We were staying nearby because of a wedding and we could see the bridge from our Motel. We took the time visit Hartland a little. My only regret is that we did not walk the bridge, it wasn't very warm out and there was threat of rain, but we did drive through it.

For me, it was well worth the drive to the Hartland Covered Bridge. I loved the area. Especially with the fall beginning to change the leaves. It was just unfortunate that the visitors centre was closed for the season.

A journey into the past to travel across this long wooden bridge. The town is quaint and friendly residents welcome us. The travel info office has very helpful staff and willing to fill you in on the areas history.

It's a little drive off the highway to get here, maybe 10 minutes. Pretty cool place to visit, but unlike a lot of other covered bridges, it is quite busy so you can't dawdle while you are driving. Better to park the car and walk.
