About
The agricultural enterprise Giovanni Chiappini is situated in the heart of the DOC Bolgheri at the Via Bolgherese, the road where the most important wine estates of the Bolgheri region are located. The particular difference in the work and the growth of the Chiappini family is found in their special connection to the soil, interpreted as mother earth and cultivated in a symbiosis with the workers.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very interesting tour! The tour guide was very nice, had a lot of information about the wines, the soil and the process of the wine making. The tasting was good, rosé, white an two red wines, up to a high quality.
Wonderful azienda, beautiful landscape, very friendly proprietor and staff. Highly recommended!

We very much enjoyed our visit to Chiappini Vineyards. It's a very beautiful Bolgheri property and a fun tour of a smaller, family owned/operated organic winery with some interesting wines produced. Our tour guide, Ilaria, was very friendly, relaxed, knowledgeable, welcoming and warm. She gave a solid overview of the Bolgheri DOC, the family and the property. I very much recommend a vist.

This was a great tour of a mid-sized family-owned winery. Our group of 9 varied from very knowledgably about Italian wine to those that had never been to a winery. Our guide provided a detailed AND interesting overview of the Bolgheri region, their winery, and winemaking. She answered everyone's questions.

The views were gorgeous, even on this overcast day. The view from the tower was wonderful!

Then we sat in a lovely tasting room and tried their white wine, rosata, and 3 of there red wines. We had a crispy bread with their own olive oil as well.

Two of our group are not wine drinkers, so were able to participate in the tour and skip the tasting at a reduced cost. AND, they learned so much about winemaking... perhaps they will start drinking wine???

Stopped in for a wine tasting here on our way through bolgheri. The tasting costs 10 euros per person and I was driving so said only my wife would taste. Most of the wines were nothing special but there were a few that we liked and bought a box. We were then charged for 2 people for the tasting even though we only had for one. Most other places give you the tasting for free if you buy some wine. I would not go here again, there are some nicer wineries that are better value. The wine are quite expensive and not worth the price I think.

It starts with a scenic drive to the Chiappini Winery. The modern winery was built in 2014 and looks like it is brand new. The tasting room and views are breath-taking. A circular stairway can take you up to the crow's nest that provides views of the vineyard or take the steps downstairs to the state of the art wine making processes. The wine is delicious and they will ship it to you, so you don't have to lug it home, but don't forget to get a few bottles to enjoy while you are on vacation. I highly recommend the Chiappini Winery!

I absolutely loved this place, it had the best location and the best rooms and the best breakfast, and the friendliest staff. The wines themselves weren't really to our taste, but definitely worth the stay.

Our recent visit to Chiappini Winery for an organized tour and tasting was such an enjoyable experience! The family of wine makers were so welcoming and were delighted to share both their love and their knowledge of their delicious wines. We were further delighted when the wines we ordered were delivered the day after we returned home. Our time on the grounds will always be included in the highlights of this particular trip and we will definitely return when we are in the area.

I have been 3 times to the Chiappini winery and for sure many more visits will come.
Last time i went with 18 friends plus 4 children. We had different houses and we loved it. The houses were spotless and well equipped, comfortable beds and lovely terraces.
Making reservations with 18 people was sometimes not easy but Carlotta was a very patient with us. She also had some great tips were to eat around. Thanks again!
We had a great time relaxing on the stunning pool, cooking on the outside bbq or just sitting together on one of the nice terraces enjoying the great wines and grappa form the winery and the delicious foods of tuscany.
We all loved it and would definitely would come back!!!

We had a lovely visit to this family winery. This location has had 2 generations of wine makers, but the family has been in Bolgheri for many many more. Their focus on quality is apparent, and the passion for producing good wine is very much appreciated.

We are Americans who love visiting Italy. Upon the recommendation of a shopkeeper in Lucca! We drove all the way to Bolgheri and decided to stop into Chiappini! Agree seeing no great reviews online. We were so pleased with our visit! This is an excellent family run winery with great wine, delicious olive oil in a beautiful spot and with very friendly family members who care deeply about their wine and oil they produce and it shows! The Felciaino was a favorite of mine and my wife and their olive oil was so good I wanted to drink it too! I hope to find this wine through a wine distributor when we get back to Boston later this week. We will return and stay at their Agriturismo next time.
