I liked to see all the wines they had stored away, I just was sad that it didn't have a wider variety from Tuscany or southern Italy. Two thirds is full with mainly Piedmont and northern Italy. Plus, several of the wines they had in there included huge mass producers, I don't think Banfi or Cavit really deserve to be... More

We had the pleasure of attending a personal guided tour and wine tasting of the Banca del Vino. Our host was one of the students from the UniSG (Slow Food University Pollenzo - of which the Bank of Wine sits within it's grounds), he was passionate and very knowledgeable about the bank, the reason it exists, the traditions behind it,... If you like wine very much: go there. If you like wine a little bit: go there too. If you don't like wine buy some other typical local products and have a look around in the Agenzia. This historic site has a great atmosphere. You can taste wine (make a reservation or you will be refused as I was) and... More

I made arrangements for a group of five of us (my parents, my aunt & uncle, and myself) to visit the wine bank to celebrate Mother's Day and my dad's retirement. We were looking for a chance to do a tasting without going through a whole winery tour (which we have all done before). The Wine Bank was such a... More

This was a real surprise, a 100,000 bottle wine bank with wines from all over Italy. The guide gave an exceptional tour, with just the right amount of commentary and information provided. There was a good explanation on the history as well as on some of the wines being stored there. La Banca del Vino is located in an historical... More

Had a very enjoyable visit to the Banca de Vino. Our guide was excellent and provided us with ample information on the purpose of the Banca and the various wines and regions housed there. Had a nice tasting of three local wines and ample time to look at the various wines that were available for sale.

We visited the winebank when staying in Albergo dell'Agenzia. The young guides, one for the general presentation and one for the wine tasting, were knowledgeable and friendly. The place itsefel was amazing: there were wines from all parts of Italy, mainly of course from Piemonte. A perfect place to learn more about Barolo, Barbaresco and the other wines.

We happened upon this cellar by chance after staying at the hotel in which it resides (albergo dell'agenzia). We were greeted by a lovely knowledgeable man who proceeded to give us a tour of their library like cellar of wine stretching as far as you could see under the palace above. After which he showed us not only a comprehensive... More

Very interesting historical collections of wines from all over Italy. Most of the wines are from Piemonte. it is worth the 2 euro to see it. I don't think the guided tour is necessary. what was strange is that the wines are not for sale. It is basically an archive which was a downer. Please eat dinner at the guido... More

We had a 5 glass tasting and tour of the Wine Bank and thoroughly enjoyed it. Relaxed surrounds and a walk through the wiine bank is impressive.
