Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We visited in spring, taking advantage of a bank holiday. We were only looking for nature, panoramic views and the smell of the sea, away from the routes too inflated by tourists.
Unfortunately you can't see the sea from Ventotene and that's not a joke.
The island's road system does not include a perimeter road, but only internal roads onto which closed land, cordoned off fields and villas delimited by high fences open everywhere. Given the dense vegetation it is never possible to walk while looking at the sea.
The most beautiful beach, reachable on foot after a long staircase, is inaccessible, the staircase is unsafe.
There are many places that are inaccessible because they are unsafe or poorly maintained.
The only beach that can be easily accessed is small, full of boats and clearly crowded.
I would say that the high price of the ship or hydrofoil ticket is absolutely not worth the visit.

Bad experience.
An island with a thousand natural resources left to itself, without services, without assistance on the rocks, very dirty. Skyrocketing prices even on Capri!
Chaos and disorder reign supreme. If you have to waste money do it abroad!

This is a small, very beautiful, quiet island, quite picturesque. The sea around is gorgeous. There is basically one beach, with a lovely view, but quite small. Several restaurants and bars, but it is a place for a quiet holiday, mostly.

We have been here twice and we love it. The tourists are mostly Italian with a few other nationalities. The people are very nice, the island is beautiful and the food is excellent. Dog friendly. This is a place that is 'off the beaten path' and is a hidden gem. Once you are here, you will understand why Italians want to keep it secret.

A bit far but worth it. And ancient Roman port that is still used with nice Roman cisterns to visit. Amazing fish restaurants inside Roman caves. Not many tourists, many Italians, some great restaurants on top of the hill next to the main square. The sea is a nature reserve and the water crustal clear with many diving spots. The island opposite used to be a prison worth visiting.

We had a relaxing extended weekend on Ventotene. It is a small island — we easily walked the length of it. It was the perfect place for a relaxing get away!

Small island, cozy, great place for short visit. The beach is rather stony. Very picturesque sea and views over the other island. You can easily feel summertime all around, with all the small shops, restaurants and cafes. If you like diving - it is said to be a great place. Only 1 hour ferry cruise from Formia.

Grazie!
Written 3 August 2017
Il parcheggio è a pagamento. Libero non so neppure se esista. Ci sono parcheggiatori che le prendono la macchina in carico accordandosi telefonicamente e le danno le istruzioni
