Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a really beautiful park on top of San Salvatore mountain. You'll taste a relaxing atmosphere submersed in a wide variety of trees and plants from all over the world.
I had the chance to play here a few times and it was a really cool experience!
Beautiful parks, play-ground for kids and walks through nature.

This is a must if you are in Lugano. Catch the bus to Carona and walk the 15 min to the park and then why not continue to Morcote on well marked footpaths. You can have a drink/ food stop at Alpe Vicania.

Not everyone knows, that on top of having fantastic views and amazing botanical collections, park offers a great possibility to have a wonderful family promenade and a picnic on a perfectly manicured grass, away from the city noise, among the ancient tall pine trees and field flowers.
Restaurant serving meals and refreshments, a large playground for younger children, lots of "hide away" corners for young and old alike - everything is there to suit anyone's tastes and demands.

It was worth the hair pin turns to drive up there. No charge for park entry nor parking. Views are spectacular. No flowering plants to speak of in mid June.

We love to visit botanical gardens and this park is one of our all time favorites. Wear comfortable shoes and don't forget your camera! The park features beautiful blooming azaleas and rhododendrons in multiple colors. The park is filled with wonderful scents while these shrubs are in bloom. The park is multiple levels and offers panoramic views of the mountains and lake below. The park has a wonderful restaurant that features a wisteria covered patio and great food. We were there for Mother's Day and the featured menu was delicious (basil ravioli, oso bucco and sorbet). There is also a nice playground for the kids.

After a nice walk (20/30 mins), we got a great playground in the middle of the woods. We did this with a 3, 4 and 5 year old children.

Parco San Grato is a great place to get away from it all. Vast space filled with woodland and garden walks. Some of the walks are themed around the different flowers and plants you will see. There are some wonderful sculptures throughout the park. Lots of space to stop, rest and picnic or there is a lovely restaurant where you can have drinks and ice creams or a meal.
There are toilet facilities available and parking. There is a park area for children which looks great fun. Suitable for dogs bot on a leash. Well worth a visit.

San Grato Botanical Park is huge and you can walk its trails for hours. It is beautiful on different seasons, but especially on spring when many flowers are in bloom. The park sits high in the mountains and so it offers superb views of Lake Lugano and the surrounding areas. The entrance is free.

Located at the top of of the mountain in the village of carona, this park is large and has some nicely landscaped gardens, large open fields, a small playground, a restaurant (in season) and plenty of paths for walking. Never too busy.

I sentieri sono percorribili con passeggino?
Written 31 May 2017
Buona sera, spero di essere ancora utile e mi scuso per il ritardo della mia risposta.
Il parco è visitabile con il passeggino, i sentieri sono abbastanza larghi e c'è del ghiaietto.
Cordiali saluti, Giacomo
