Sited within the beautiful Kastel Vitturi, well worth a visit:information is in English as well as Croatian.Lots of history, including social history of the ordinary people of Kastela as well as of the nobility.Good displays of furniture and clothing. From the museum, good views of the castle's courtyard and of the town's old buildings. As always in Croatia,a modest admission fee.The only reason we weren't there longer was because we'd rather be outside enjoying the glorious sunshine!

If the doors are open, a must go for Kastela! Lots of great maps and history. There is even a free art museum upstairs.

Museum holds a fine collection of Kaštelas history. Sometimes there are concerts, book promotions... Museum is settled in a Vitturi castle which holds a great story of Kaštelas Romeo and Juliet, Miljenko and Dobrila. I'm not gonna spoil the story for you but if you want to follow it you have to go to castle Rušinac ;) have fun

Well worth a visit if you want to know all about Kastela region, right back to the stone age times. English interpretation boards and a nice cafe close by too.
