The Dam is accessible by car, you park near it and can walk across. Great views for photos. The water is low at the moment. No one was there when we visited, there isn't any shade. It was a short visit but worth it.

The views from the dam are very unusual. My kids joked, that this a good place to film a movie about invasion of alliens :)

Nice views but otherwise not a lot here. If you get chance to go when it is due to overflow (a rare happening) then you fine the place pack out and food venders etc gathering for the event, it's quite something to witness.
