We spent day touring the palace with guide, learning its rich history. We took a elephant ride on the way up, which was well worth it. This is also a great place to bargain with the street vendors. On the way out, there is a...More

I love the place as it says the history of Jaipur. It's the in laws of the great emperor Akbar. People must have the elephant ride here and also see the light and sound show which starts from evening, both in english and hindi

This place is highly recommended to understand the history behind Jaipur. It is worth the money to get a guide (govt. rate is 200 Rs.) and they will add lot of value to enhance your understanding of the lovely fort.

Nothing very unique about the fort, except the long walking distances involved inside the fort. If you've seen a couple of Rajasthani Forts, this has nothing unique to offer. The Sheesh Mahal is mostly shut to public and tarnishing away.

A huge fort with lots to look at. One of the best in Rajasthan in my opinion. Going up by elephant is marvellous. The views on the way up are stunning. The only down side are the hawkers. I am usually not bothered by them...More

When you come here, there is a royal feeling inside you especially when you come across the place where Jodha Akbar's sword practice scene was shot between Hritik and Aishwarya. The architecture is amazing specially the glass work.

The sheer view of the fort on entering the gate from the parking is awe inspiring. One can go up-to the fort entrance on an elephant ride, though the walk by the stairs on early morning is equally if not more fulfilling. The entrance to...More

Not sure what the fee is now - but if you are visiting other sites in Jaipur, buy a combined ticket (it includes several attractions) All the best.

I know that the elephants can only work a few hours a day and were heading back to their camp at 12 midday as it was deemed too hot. We didn't ride them as i don't like the idea.
