The best birthday party!

We’ve been coming here since my children were very small and love it! The farm tours are brilliant and the play barn is always a hit too!

We decided to have their birthday party here this year which was brilliant. The staff planned and organised everything perfectly and everyone had such a great time. Thank you Hannah, Charlotte and Sophie for your fab hosting on the day.

Family friendly day out

Brilliant for a day out with the kids, very personalised service, the lady showing us around was so lovely! She took time to speak to our daughter and even got out a bunny for her to touch. Soft play inside was fab and the animals were great! Although the weather wasn’t great it didn’t spoil the day.

We read 'What the ladybird hear' by seeing and hearing the animals for ourselves!!

We took a large group of children with their mums for a very positive visit to the Big Sheep and Little Cow. We arranged a pre-visit – this really helped. Leanne picked everything up and made the visit really special for the group – making it inclusive, interesting and fun.

On arrival, the children ran off a bit of steam in the ball park while the mums had a coffee. Feeding the lambs went down very well, everyone was able to have a turn. Leanne’s explanations and demonstrations really helped there. Touching and holding some of the small animals was an enjoyed experience for both the adults and children. The excitement was tangible, but Leanne was able to keep the group together and manage their expectations.

Rides on the outdoor equipment including the barrel train and electric cars were thoroughly enjoyed.

Feedback from some of the mums included:
• ‘Thanks for everything. We had a lovely day. Lots of fun’
• ‘...what a special day, so many different things to see and do....’
• ‘Lots of great memories’

A big thank you to all the staff and a particular thanks to Leanne. Visits as a group or as an individual is highly recommended.

We visited the farm yesterday whilst in the area! What a hidden gem. We all had such a great time. A special mention and thank you to Tasha, who spent time with us in the small animal barn and really made the experience for us. Her knowledge and patience with our children was greatly appreciated. We will definitely be back 🙂

By far the best farm we have been to- visit if you want your kids to have an experience rather than just a visit!!

I honestly cannot recommend this gem of a farm enough! My three year old daughter had the best time, and it was far better than any other farms we have been to! What we valued the most was that it was so clear that experience was more important than money/business. The fact that you have to secure a time slot, and it meant there were only about 40ish people (maybe even less I think) around the farm at one time, so every single experience (the lamb feeding, donkey grooming, small pet holding) wasn't rushed or too busy as it has always been at every other farm we have been too (and we've been to a LOT!) We went to another farm a few days after on our way home from our holiday, and it was so insanely busy that our daughter didn't get a chance to do most of the experiences because there was just too many people, it was clear they valued squeezing in as many people as possible over giving each child an experience. The staff here just made the time to speak to every child and made them feel really special, my daughter was obsessed with feeding the goats and the woman made so much time to keep giving her the food! Even little things like a staff member showed us a family of swallows nesting in the ceiling of the pig enclosure, my daughter was fascinated! The soft play is absolutely amazing, in fact, I think she would have stayed there all day! The outdoor play, also incredible, just so much attention to detail. Just cannot emphasize the friendliness of the staff, how much they worked to make sure the experience was so personalized. I just wish we lived closer because we'd be there all the time! Thank you for an amazing day out.

We are a family run farm and we set up in the 1980's with the exclusive aim of providing educational, hands on, real experiences between people and animals. We do limit numbers onsite for this very reason and are really glad to hear that you appreciated this. Very good personal experience

Even in the rain, the experience was very good. Play area was fantastic for the little one. Lots of animals to see and the site has a very good emphasis on hygiene.
In the area where you can touch and see the animals, we arrived slightly late and a lad called Ben was very kind and took the time to let my son see and touch all the animals - including some that the others didn’t see. He was very knowledgable about every individual animal he took out and seemed genuinely happy doing his job and passing on this information. In the same breath all the staff had this positive attitude and were very willing and helpful to anyone who needed it
The lamb feeding was also a very nice experience. My son was a little too young for it, but he was very happy seeing all the lambs up close.

We had a great time and will be back in future

We are not from round the area and we was staying in a hotel in Masham and was heading to The Forbidden Corner in the afternoon so was looking for something nearby the hotel to keep my little boy entertained for a few hours and we found this little gem!

The staff was brilliant, I’ve never been to a farm around where I live and had the hands on experience with animals like here (I was more excited than my boy! 😅)
Was lovely to be shown around the farm and being told about the animals. Not sure who the young lad was that let us hold the animals in the mini barn but he was lovely. We then met Emily who shown us round the other side of the farm and let us meet the other animals she was a lovely friendly person who was great with the kids.

Our favourite part (or maybe mine haha!) was the lamb feeding where we all got to take part in feeding them.

I’d definitely recommend this place. So glad we found it my little boy loved it!

Great even on a wet day

The family had a great time. The indoor play area was loved by our two kids and grandparents! The feeding and holding the animals tour was amazing. The staff were knowledgeable, kind and clearly cared for the animals. They made everyone comfortable and made sure all the children had the chance to hold the animals but didn't put any pressure on to hold them, instead asking if they just wanted to stroke them. The kids loved the ice cream too.

The best time was had!!

We had a wonderful time visiting your farm yesterday. 2 adults 3 children. Your amazing staff were so knowledgeable about all the animals when replying to my daughters 103375 questions.

We has the pleasure of feeding the goats, bottle feeding the lambs, brushing the pony and holiday the smaller animals.. My daughters even held the snake 😱🤣.

We had a lovely lunch. Us adults had the sandwiches and children the sandwich and kids boxes which were amazing and we throughly enjoyed it all.

We will definitely return to your wonderful farm when we come on our little break away over hear again.

Lovely visit!

We visited with friends and 4 kids, a new born, 1,3 and 4. The girls were brilliant and so accommodating they showed us around. The kids got really hands on with all the animals and spent so much time telling us all about them. The indoors is great too with good coffee, there is lots to do outside and lovely ice cream. We will be back!
