What a lovely little farm! Me, my partner and 2 year old boy visited the farm today and opted for the guided tour. It did not disappoint. The staff were all friendly and welcoming and in particular the young lady who provided the tour. She was great with the animals and had such a lovely manner. The cafe was lovely and the play area was great, perfect for any family! I would highly recommend :)

We had a brilliant time with 3 adults and 2 toddlers. Wonderful time had by all. Lovely staff, all friendly and happy to answer all our questions. Animals were happy and well kept, and lots of interesting Breeds. The play barn was amazing, brilliant slides. The drop from the top to the fireman's pole perhaps should be looked at as even under close supervision was quite dangerous. Tasty food too! Thank you for a lovely time!

Thank you for your fab review! We are so pleased that you had a lovely visit and we enjoyed chatting with you all! In response to your observation about our fireman's pole, I would like to clarify that our playbarn is not a soft play area and therefore we strongly advise adult supervision and participation at all times, especially with really little ones. We have recently introduced our separate under 3's play area for toddlers to play safely in when their parents wish to relax. We would welcome any further discussion about this, so if you'd like to get in touch we will be more than happy to talk with you. Once again, thank you for taking to time to leave us a review and we hope to see you again when you're next in the area!

Great place to take young children, staff were very friendly and enthusiastic throughout the tour and the visit allowing children to get hands on with the animals and encouraging involvement. The addition of use of the soft play after and cafe made it that much better. Recommend to anyone wanting to take their young ones out for a good couple of hours.

Went to the farm whilst on holiday in Leyburn and we weren’t disappointed! All the staff were really nice and the farm was such a great experience, having the opportunity to hold so many different animals. It was a lovely place too! Would 100% recommend visiting.

First visit after a recommendation with my 2 year old twins. First class staff (family run I think)so helpful and knowledgeable about EVERY animal - these people really care about the animals and it shows- from how clean their living spaces are, to how tame they are... We’ve visited several similar places and the care given to the animals here is by far the best we’ve seen so far. Gluten free options available in the cafe and not 100% but I think wheelchair accessible to a lot of the animals and cafe. My only flaw would be on the top level of the soft play I’d like to see some sort of gate(?) over the fireman’s pole, it’s quite a drop for any littles- just make sure you have hold of their hands up there! The slides are fantastic! All round great day out- thank you.

Thank you so much for your lovely comments, we are all so pleased that you enjoyed your time with us. The animals really are an extension of our family and we start every day with them, mucking out and handling to ensure that they are ready to meet the public. We are wheelchair accessible and encourage visitors of all abilities to head down and meet the animals. We do have a wide variety, from tiny mice, to our herd of Dexter cattle, and help every visitor get as hands on with each animal as possible. Our guided farm tours are something we are really proud of, as they balance hands on experience with our animals alongside education which is presented in a fun and understandable way. I am very glad to hear that the tour worked for you. You are the first to bring up this issue in our play area and and a result we will be having a discussion about what we can do to reduce the risk. I would say in the meantime however, that our playarea is fully adult friendly and we encourage parents to go in and play with their children, especially toddlers who may need assistance in certain areas (such as the stairs to the top level). After all, the slides really are great fun for all ages! We have recently introduced our separate under 3's play area for toddlers to play safely in when their parents wish to relax. Thank you once again for all your comments, it is really useful to us to hear what our customers think and helps us continue to adapt and expand what we offer. Please do come and visit us again soon!
