We visited Tropiquaria yesterday morning as a family and really enjoyed it. Its such a sweet little zoo and they do alot of work towards animal conservation. The staff were helpful and friendly. We ate in the zoo cafe. Everything was really nice and clean. This is our third visit to the zoo. Would definitely visit again.

We visited with our sons aged 12 and 9 and we all enjoyed our day out. Sam the zookeeper did all the animal talks and he was great! Some very funny and interesting facts. We particularly loved the otters, very noisy when they knew it was their lunchtime but so cute! The pirate ships and zip wires were great fun too. We had toasted sandwiches and burgers from the cafe, which were tasty and good value.

This place is great!!
As we pulled up we did have questions but once inside it changed our mind. It’s so good! Hidden gem! We visited with our children & friends and the children loved it. And we did. Great (if not random) selection of animals but the staff are very knowledgable and the animals all seemed happy!
Great size and easy to get about too. We saw the Otters & Servan beinf fed which was cool.
Food was good/average but great value for money and the indoor kids play bit was a huge hit. As was the pirate ship play area outdoors.
Would Defs visit again if in the area.

Had a lovely afternoon with the kids. Staff were all friendly and the keep talk we watched was informative and interesting. Lots of different animals to see and all looked well cared for. The play areas were very much enjoyed by the kids, and I loved the old bbc building that the attraction is housed in (I wish we could have seen more of the building, I'd love a good look around!).

The zoo is housed in an old art deco radio transmitter station just off the A39 roundabout on the way to Watchet, so it is easy to find. The outside looks a bit dated but it is an old building so its going to be. The entry price for a family of 4 was £43 which is reasonable compared to other attractions. The man on the desk greeted us warmly and gave the children an activity sheet to fill in as we went round and to hand back at the end. We then entered through to the indoor area which houses a mix of animals, some which are endangered and rescued animals, the activity sheet encouraged the children to read about the animals and their native habitats and also why they were at the zoo. The racoons story was funny and some of the Lemurs stories heartbreaking. We listened to 3 talks that Lucy did that were fantastic, it was super warm weather but she was funny and informative and clearly knew all the animals that she looks after really well. Everyone member of staff I spoke or saw was polite and happy to be there which is always a a good sign. It was a really lovely little place (I am not keen on zoos). The play and seating areas are well thought out and the children loved them. We spent about 4 hours here and enjoyed every minute.

We visited Tropiquaria Zoo this August. The weather was dismal and to be honest we were not expecting much. However, we were pleasantly surprised! There is a lovely selection of animals and they seemed well looked after. We particularly enjoyed seeing the sugar gliders in the nocturnal area, the iguanas in.the reptile area, and lemurs outside. The zookeeper are exceptionally knowledgeable and told us an array of interesting fasts, such as the lemurs have two tongues (one for tasting and one for preening)
The outside play area has two massive pirate style ships, castle, and zip wire. The food interesting cafe served decent sized and tasty food portions. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Overall, this was a lovely little day out.

What a great little place. Stopped on our way home and so glad we did. Lots of animals to see and places for the kids to play. The cafe and entrance prices are reasonable and the keepers are clearly passionate about their animals.

Definitely recommend

Wow, spent ages looking at the fish, otters and reptiles. Passionate keepers and so knowledgeable. Really responsible price to get in. Think they do excellent under testing times. Fun place for kiddies and adults alike.
