    A must
If you are into motorcars, this is a must. Great collection, ranging from ‘Day 1’, the birth of the automobile, through till present. The man himself, well what a genius. What a great legacy. A great outdoors area for the kids, and lovely cafe. Ticket will allow you entry all year round. And finally, staff were all friendly, welcoming and helpful.

Brilliant for any motor enthusiast, and great accessibility.
We had a great day out here. Our relatives haven't visited since prior to COVID and they loved the changes that had been made to the museum. Having been to both Beaulei and Haynes, I prefer the layout of Haynes. It's more spacious, and ideal for wheelchair users like myself. The displays are fantastic, well thought out and presented. The only letdown which prevents me from giving a 5 review was that at 1pm there was no food left in the cafe, and there were two young people working who couldn't keep up with the flow of customers and the complicated coffee orders. There was a really long queue which took ages to move, and tables were full of other people's rubbish and crockery as there was no time for the staff to clear them. There are a couple of disabled parking bays, but in my opinion not enough for the size of the museum.

A surprisingly good day out of the rain, even for two non petrol heads!
A surprisingly good day out of the rain, even for two non petrol heads! Yes, we chose this as an indoor trip on a very wet day, but it was a good choice. More cars than you can shake a stick at with just the right amount of information. Very contemporary and as un-museum-like as you can get. Well laid out so you can go at your own pace. Highly recommend. Cafe on-site provided all you would expect.

    Very friendly and helpful staff
Wonderful place to visit. Easy parking. Helpful, polite and cheerful staff. Clean and tidy and the cars were very well laid out in all respects, with information on each one. wide variety of cars to see. Visited the cafe, where there was a wide variety of food on offer, all at reasonable prices. Very good value for money.

    Great museum - very interesting
This museum is well worth a visit. The history behind the museum is very interesting. For anyone old enough to remember them, this is the home of the Haynes motor manuals. There are all sorts of vehicles from way back up to present day. The Williams F1 section is fab. Would recommend a visit. There’s good facilities including a cafe and everything is well looked after. Tickets are valid for 12 months from when you purchase them, so good value. Lots of other events that go on there throughout the year. All in all a great few hours spent there.

Great but not really small-child friendly
We visited here with 2 grandchildren, aged 3 and 5. The website said that it was child friendly. There are a few things for children to do, but not many. The weather was awful so they couldn't use the outside equipment. There is an amazing range of gorgeous (and some not so gorgeous!} cars with quite a bit of information about each vehicle. I really liked the Formula 1 section. . The problem is that you can't touch anything. I do appreciate the reason for this, but I think there should have been something that children can get in, touch and maybe pretend to drive, or anything interactive.
Thank you for your feedback on your visit. We're sorry to hear the weather wasn't great. We feel we offer a wide variety of activities to keep little ones entertained at the Museum, from the brass rubbings, the Summer trail, dressing up, an interactive paint a mini and the interactive garage. For our younger visitors, we have Little Tike cars they can ride around in for the day. We hope you welcome you back again soon.

    A petrol heads dream
What a fantastic collection of cars!! Ranging from the very first vehicles from the 1900's, right through to modern F1 cars with everything in between. Even got to sit in a Lamborghini and Bentley! Also have some interesting motorcycles but mainly cars. Highly recommended.
Thank you for your feedback. We're so glad to hear you enjoyed your visit and we look forward to welcoming you back again soon.

Amazing day out for the whole family.
It was my childrens choice of day out. We had been camping in Devon, They are huge F1 fans and had seen the leaflet with the F1 room so that was it. I can say the museum was amazing if you love cars. I have 3 children from 2 years old to 15 years old. The 2 year old got to ride in a little car around the whole museum (great touch,so she wasn't bored) great play area for her to enjoy to. The cars were so well kept and clean and in great order, the red room was amazing. And both my older children loved the F1 room. Gift shop and foods were all reasonable price wise, and good quality. There was a car demonstration outside with cars from classisc to modern. Some belonging to museum, some belonging to the staff. Got a chance to sit in them all, with the owners happily giving their time to talk us and shown their prized vehicles off. Amazing day, only thing I missed was the motorcycle floor was closed off bit with the ticket being an annual ticket I will return to see them. Well worth the visit
Thank you for your feedback. We're glad to hear you enjoyed your visit and loved the F1 exhibition! We look forward to welcoming you back again soon.

    Wonderful motoring history
Visited with my husband a couple of weeks ago. I am no petrolhead but I really enjoyed seeing all the cars and being able to get close up to them. We especially enjoyed the F1 exhibition and I was almost moved to tears to see the Nash Metropolitan in exactly the same colour as my dad's which he sold in the 1960's. I haven't seen one since, it brought back many happy memories. You are keeping motoring history alive, keep up the good work!

    Great day out
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the motor museum. Very interesting to start with the history of Haynes Manuals and then to see such a fabulous collection of cars, most of which you can get close to without barriers in place. The staff in the cafe were friendly and helpful, good choice of food and the cappuccino was excellent. Thank you

We really enjoyed visiting this museum as a family, the history of the collection and the manuals was extremely interesting. The selection of cars was huge and nicely varied albeit sobering to realise the cars of my youth are now classics! Staff and volunteers were friendly and knowledgable. My daughter enjoyed the egg hunt as we went round. Overall a great day out but we did find it a little expensive for a family of 4.

Great museum, really well laid out and presented, with all exhibits in first class condition. The staff were friendly, the cafe was good with plenty of choice. I only had a couple of hours, so concentrated on the exhibits that were my main interest, but will come back when I have more time as there was a useful information panel beside each car that will keep me busy for hours. The F 1 room was excellent! Plenty of disabled parking right outside and very wheelchair friendly inside with a lift up to the motorcycle mezzanine. Personally I would of loved a few ‘modern’ motorcycles from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s too, but you can’t house everything!

Visited the Haynes Motor Museum with my brother on my birthday, first time visit for both of us and we weren't disappointed! Very friendly staff on arrival, the displays were well laid out with a wide variety of vehicles from all era's and manufacturers, a real eye opener to see how small some of the vintage British cars were! Wasn't too busy as we went midweek so plenty of opportunity to get a really good look at everything. I even got a great deal on a 1:18 diecast model in the gift shop, we would definitely pay another visit in the future 5*****

We visited from Cornwall for the day. So a long way to go but the toilets, cafe and facilities were amazing. The museum itself was so much better than we remembered! My only suggestion is when you have a spare back seat / front seat set them up so kids can get in and see how it feels. Doesn't have to be IN an existing car frame but it would provide a more tactile experience. Even a display where you can feel a sample of different materials through the ages. Leather, wood, tyres, metal, carbon fibre.... would be so cool. Very cool place, worth the drive and we'll be back

Cost of entry to the Museum is a little hard to swallow however the collection is quiet good. Over officious volunteer staff barking out loud not to touch anything when people were simply ‘pointing’ at items was very negative.

Cafe could and should have been a lot lot better. Arrived at 10.45 to find almost nothing on display or laid out. We dropped in for a snack after touring the museum and it was no better with the majority of food advertised not available or not on display.

We found out a private function was taking place and it appears as if all resources were focused on supporting that with staff and food at the expense of the general public.

Pricey for grandparents and 3 grandchildren but a great day out with kids who love cars. The exhibition had far more impact than I expected. Cars in wonderful condition including SO many icons of the 50s, 60s and 70s that brought back memories of people and places! The halls and the themes sometimes seemed a bit hard to follow and not completely logical but that is nit picking. The Formula 1 areas especially enjoyed by the kids, along with the iconic sports cars like the Lamborghini and Ferrari vehicles. Café was very pleasant. An indoor area for picnics would be helpful to keep costs down a bit!
